IRB IN LMICs CONTEXT!!

*Tired of IRB paperwork, compliance issues, and proposals quality?*

We're excited to announce our IRB Digitalization Workshop, happening this Monday at Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore (Pakistan) ✨

After multiple years researching and refining BMY Health’s IRB systems (moving from basic forms to professional software, tested in Pakistan and Canada), we realized one thing: One-size-fits-all IRB software fails in LMICs.

So, we built something better.
✅ Zero coding skills required – Doctors can handle it.
✅ Zero IT dependency – You own the logic.
✅ Cost-effective – Tailored for limited resource settings.

In this workshop, we’ll show you exactly how to:
🔹 Automate your documentation & reduce admin workload.
🔹 Build custom IRB logic without expensive developers.
🔹 Improve proposal quality while slashing review times, enhancing compliance.

Let’s stop fighting the software and start focusing on the science.

📢 New Publication Alert!

We are pleased to announce the publication of our latest study in the Journal of the Pakistan Psychiatric Society:

Institutionalized Children's Emotional well-being, Caregivers' Readiness & Policy Pathways for Social Prescribing in Pakistan.

This mixed-methods study assessed 263 institutionalized children across four institutions in Punjab.

Key Findings:

✅ Significant emotional and behavioral difficulties among institutionalized children—with age emerging as a significant predictor of overall difficulties.

✅ A weak negative correlation between prosocial scores and total difficulties, suggesting that social skills may play a protective role

✅ Over 51% of caregivers reported recent illness, highlighting the need for caregiver support alongside child-focused interventions

✅ Strong demand for social prescribing—caregivers favored community referrals, recreational activities, and educational programs

Why This Matters:

Institutionalization can undermine children's well-being. Our findings call for actionable policy and practice reforms within institutional care—placing social prescribing among recommended interventions as a viable, community-based, cost effective intervention to alleviate trauma and foster resilience.

We hope this work sensitizes policymakers and practitioners to the urgent need for integrated, child-centered approaches in institutional settings.

We are honored with Bushra Anwar's presentation of our model of BMY Health, embedding -integrity, at the Canadian Bioethics Society Conference.

According to our analysis of Canadian clinical trials (from top 50,000 projects registered in clinicaltrials.gov globally):

🔹 Only 68% declared completed.
🔹 The rest terminated, suspended, or unknown status.
🔹 Slow accrual is a common reason – leading not only to non‑completion but also to underpowered studies among many completed.

We advocate for national that do not exist – standards that explicitly include operational integrity with IRB governance.

Non‑completion is not merely an administrative failure. It is an lapse – compromising the ‑benefit balance in research and making informed consent an illusion.

Let's wasting participants’ time enrolling in studies.
Let's join to support Canadian clinical research eco-system. We look forward to hearing what you're already doing, and how can we support your work!
