The Screen for Life coach travels to over 75 communities in Northwestern Ontario. It offers breast screening mammograms for women 50-74 years of age, 'ColonCancerCheck' fecal immunochemical test (FIT) kits to individuals 50-74 years of age and cervical screening Pap tests to women 25-69 years of age. Appointments can be made by calling (807) 684-7777. A two person team (Registered Nurse (RN) and a

Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) specializing in mammography) share screening, driving and coach set up/take down duties. The regional travel season extends from April to November, then the coach returns to Thunder Bay for the winter months.

As of July 1, the drop-off location for completed FITs has changed from LifeLabs to Rexall. If you live in an Indigenous community, please contact your health centre or nursing station to discuss drop off options.

If these locations don't work for you, you can also return your completed FIT by mail using the pre-paid yellow return envelope included in the FIT kit.
