It was a special moment to see Kate O'Brien sharing her Paralympic medals with the team from Motion Composites, whose support through the Wishes for Wheels program helped provide her new wheelchair.

Kate's achievements are a testament to her talent, dedication, and perseverance. We're proud to celebrate the partnerships that help remove barriers and create opportunities for athletes and individuals to reach their full potential.

Thanks for bringing in your medals Kate!

Our new Burnaby location was full of activity the last two days as we welcomed the Access Therapists, Lindsay and Danielle, for a hands-on course focused on wheelchair positioning.

It's been fantastic to see therapists coming together to share knowledge, ask questions, and strengthen their skills.

We're grateful to be part of opportunities like these that support ongoing education and ultimately help improve the lives of those who rely on mobility equipment every day.

National AccessAbility Week is a reminder that accessibility starts where we spend most of our time: at home.

For many older adults, individuals living with disabilities, or those recovering from illness or injury, simple modifications can make a significant difference in maintaining independence, confidence, and safety.

Accessibility isn't just about preventing accidents. It's about creating environments where people can continue living independently, participate in daily activities, and enjoy a higher quality of life.

This National AccessAbility Week, give us a call to help make your home or the home of a loved one feel safe.

Sidewalks are meant for everyone. 💙

When vehicles block sidewalks or leave limited space, it can create real barriers for individuals using wheelchairs, walkers, or mobility equipment. Notice how the van did not back up to the wheels? This prevents the sidewalk from being overtaken by the back of the van.

Accessibility starts with awareness, and small choices can make a big impact.

What’s one small accessibility feature or act of consideration that you think people often overlook? 👇

On Friday, a few of our incredible employees proudly participated in the Vancouver Walk to Cure ALS, raising awareness and hope for those affected by ALS.

We are incredibly proud of this team, who took the time to show up, support the community, and make a difference. Their compassion, dedication, and commitment to helping others extend far beyond the workplace and into the communities we serve every day.

Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, and supported this important cause. Together, we're helping move us one step closer to a world without ALS.

Thanks to Christie Hamstra and the Infinity Health group for attending the Lunch and Learn with Sarah. Nothing gets the wheels turning better than a little community education and professionals coming together to improve patient outcomes!

Watch as I, not a mobility expert, try to fold the Go Go Carbon scooter. It was incredibly easy! I retracted the handle bars but if you leave them up, you can drag the whole thing like a suitcase!

Perfect for your summer travel plans or just scooting around the city! Come by and check it out yourself!

Chris Friesen and Jaclyn are in Whistler to attend the BC Care Providers Association Annual Conference. This year's theme is Take Me Home which encourages thought on what home truly means for seniors. It's about creating space that is both safe, dignified and inclusive.

At Macdonald’s Home Health Care, these conversations are at the heart of what we do every day.

What does “home” mean to you or your loved ones as care needs change? 👇
