There cannot be enough Tarot tips!! I think I have created 876543457997 cheat sheets for myself while learning Tarot...lol. It's a fixed system that definitely takes time and a very curious mind.

I have been reading Tarot for over 20 years now, and it definitely is one of my absolute fav tools.

I was asked about my favorite witch books on the weekend. So I thought I would share some of mine here.

Witchery by Juliet Diaz and Witch by Lisa Lister are 2 incredible starting books. I think Lisa Lister is one of my girl crushes and I would love to meet her one day. These two books are strictly witchcraft, without Wiccan ritual intertwined in. They are easy reads and both good to listen to on Audible too.

The Spiral Dance by Starhawk is a MUST read at some point on every Witch's journey. She also has other incredible books too. Her books have challenged my relationship with Earth and cycles and helped me build and trust my own practices. It is a bit of a deeper read but it is so good when you are ready.

I will periodically post other books that I love here too.

The sky was so bright and beautiful this morning and yet the air was soooo cool and crisp. These trees and plants are covered in snow and frost... sparkling in the sun. These fields were filled with geese less than a week ago and now they are filled with harvested crops and snow. I love to watch the seasons change and bring that into myself to think about how I am shifting or changing in this moment.

Even tho the air was cold I felt so big this morning and just one with everything. I am moving into more... seeing myself bigger than I ever have before. The cold normally makes me want to close up and stay warm. All too often, being truly vulernable makes me do the same. I want to change this. I want to be seen for exactly who I am. I want to nourish and give to myself. I want to do the things I have talked about doing but never done. I want to be brave and share things that are sacred and important to me with others, instead of just talking about how pi**ed off I am about how the world doesnt hold things sacredly anymore. Lol I want to be brave and allow others to see the things I see and hear the things I hear.

This morning I chose to breathe in this fresh air. To expand. To push myself to change my response. It felt so good.

Just like the fall, I'm changing.

On the weekend, I sat with water and heard what it had to say.

The water was moving. Some spaces were fast and hard and some were quiet, calm, and slow. There were even some space that were swirling back around up stream. It just made me think of emotion - as the element of water is connected to emotion.

This little river reminded me that sometimes we have quiet and soft moments in life, time when there is less doing and more peace and calm. Never does a river just rage from beginning to end. There are always moments of peace. So feel these moments and be grateful for them. They help us see the beauty in everything - when we can just slow down and take it in.

There will be moments in life when we do need to swirling back around and feel something that we may either need to or that we missed. But remember that we still always keep moving and to not get stuck.

Then there are times when our feelings are big and intense. These are purposeful feelings. They are meant to push you and challenge you and if you want to truly use these feelings to bring change or be useful then you got to dig in deep to find your footing and stand up, or you can get carried away in the current or drown. I sat and listened to the intense flow of water literally moving rocks in the river... not little rocks like the big rocks. That message alone is so powerful and one we all need to remember.

Whatever you are going through in this moment remember the water. Be one with it. There are so many lessons surrounding us when we can just quiet our minds and listen.

October 10 - The Path of The Witch - This is a new series I am offering. It is hosted at Ember & Stone. I will be sharing my own personal journey in witchcraft, while teaching the fundamentals of the craft to help you build your own practice. We will talk about the history, creating space, building relationships, tools, protection, rituals, and more. Each month will have a different focus. Little bedtime Tarot message....
