A few good habits to keep in mind:

👉 Keep your contact information up to date
👉 Complete your required PCC activities
👉 Stay informed about College updates
👉 Know your professional responsibilities

This week, Tim visited Year 1 and 2 P*P students at RRC Polytech for their Orientation Day 🚑

It was a great opportunity to introduce students to the College of Paramedics of Manitoba, share what we do, and connect with the future of Manitoba's paramedicine profession.

For the Year 2 students, with graduation right around the corner, their focus will shift toward what comes next, including registration requirements, documentation and how the College will play a part in their careers.

We're always happy to connect with students early in their journey and help them understand what lies ahead

Did you know that paramedicine in Manitoba is a self-regulated profession? But what does that actually mean… 🤔

Self-regulation means that the profession regulates itself with the public interest in mind. Through legislation, the College establishes requirements for registration, supports continuing education, and responds to concerns about professional conduct

Self-regulation is also a shared responsibility.

The College provides the regulatory framework, but every registrant plays an important role by maintaining their competence, practicing ethically, and meeting the standards expected of the profession.

Together, this helps strengthen public confidence and supports safe, high-quality care for Manitobans

When you see the title "Registered Paramedic," there's much more behind it than a license. It represents the education, training, and ongoing commitment required to practice safely and professionally.

It also reflects a responsibility to:

✅ Keep the safety and well-being of patients in mind
