MYTH: You can’t do laser in the summer.

The truth? Laser treatments can still be done during the summer, as long as you don’t have an active tan.⬇️

An active tan means your skin has recently darkened from sun exposure. Because laser energy is attracted to pigment, treating recently tanned skin can increase the risk of irritation, burns, or unwanted changes in pigmentation.

If you’re diligent with sun protection and your skin isn’t actively tanned, summer laser treatments may still be an option. If you love your time in the sun, waiting until fall or winter may be the better choice.
