Do you love all things Halloween, volunteering, and supporting your community? We need your help!

There are LOTS of ways to get involved, big or small! We’re looking for volunteers to help with:

👻 Market vendor organization & layout
🎃 Decorating & event planning
🔨 Day-of setup
🎪 Creating carnival games & activities
📱 Social media & promotion
🎯 Carnival game attendants
🎟️ Raffle & ticket sales
🏆 Contest judges
🧹 Take-down & cleanup
🍂 And plenty more!

If you have a skill, an idea, a few hours, or simply a willingness to lend a hand, we can use your support!

We're looking for a photographer to help capture Recreation Nova Scotia's 2026 Annual Conference!

Advance Care Planning is about more than preparing for the future. It’s about making sure your values, wishes and choices are known, understood and respected.

The Nova Scotia Hospice Palliative Care Association invites community members to join us for an upcoming **Advance Care Planning Workshop** in Coldbrook.

Together, we’ll explore:

➡️ What Advance Care Planning is and why it matters
➡️ How to communicate your wishes with loved ones and healthcare providers
➡️ How to encourage conversations about Advance Care Planning
➡️ Tools and resources to help document your preferences

The next round of Healing Pathways Community Funding Grants is coming soon! 💜

Non-profits and community-based organizations partnered with non-profits across Nova Scotia will once again have an opportunity to apply for funding to support meaningful, community-led healing initiatives.

Tri-County Women’s Centre, in collaboration with International Overdose Awareness Day and Nova Scotia Take Home Naloxone Program, presents… Naloxone Drop-In Day.

In honor of International Overdose Awareness Day, Tri-County Women’s Centre will be hosting a Naloxone Drop-In Day in each of their three locations this month.

📍 Shelburne: August 19th from 10am – 3pm
📍 Yarmouth: August 24th from 10am – 3:30pm
📍 Digby: August 25th from 10am – 3pm

We encourage you to stop by during one of these events to PICK UP a Naloxone kit and/or LEARN HOW TO USE a Naloxone kit.

🚜 COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS BUILDING SOMETHING BIG! 🚛

A huge thank you to Yarmouth, Yarmouth Fire Department, Rhyno's Towing, and more for stepping up as supporters of the first ever Yarmouth Big Rig Petting Zoo!

Their involvement is helping create a FREE family event that brings our community together while giving kids and families the chance to explore the trucks, machinery, and equipment that help build and support Yarmouth County every day.
