Research, talent and the future: the awards ceremony for the 13th edition of the IBSA Foundation Fellowships was held last Friday in Barcelona (ES). Six young researchers under the age of 40 were officially awarded grants worth €32,000 each. This year’s edition also saw the establishment of the new Research Equity Prize for projects developed at a research institution based in a developing country.

Before the prize giving event, hosted at the Royal Academy of Medicine de Cataluña, a roundtable discussion focused on the importance of supporting projects by talented young researchers. During the ceremony, IBSA Foundation announced the opening of the Fellowship call for 2026.
