At the European Guild for Structural Integration, we teach and practice Structural Integration in a way that remains very close to how Ida Rolf herself taught and practiced — not out of nostalgia, but out of conviction that what she developed deserves to be preserved with care and passed on with fidelity.
This Sunday, practitioners from seven IASI schools across seven countries will gather in Prague for six days to celebrate Ida Rolf's 130th birthday — and the vision she dedicated her life to: a body balanced around a central vertical axis, in relative harmony with the gravitational field of the earth.
We hope this gathering will open new pathways of conversation between the schools, and help bring them closer together around that original vision.

I am so looking forward to sharing my presentation, “Fascia as a Process,” with my colleagues in the beautiful and historic city of Prague. Six days of practical sensorial touch supported by a deep appreciation for anatomy, history, human observation, and the remarkable pioneers whose ideas continue to shape our work today. What excites me most is the opportunity to continue the conversation begun by great thinkers such as Ida Rolf and so many others who dared to question reductionist views of the human body. For me, fascia is not a “thing” to be isolated, nor a layered wrapping to be separated from life itself, but a living process of continuity, adaptation, relationship, and expression. A dynamic architecture forever responding to environment, history, sensation, memory, gravity, and time. To stand in Prague, a city shaped by centuries of art, philosophy, music, and human story, while exchanging and updating ideas through touch, movement, anatomy, and conversation feels entirely fitting. I very much look forward to sharing the stage with Mary Bond, David Davis, Gale Rosewood, and Aleš Urbanczik, and to meeting colleagues from across Europe and beyond.
