Minapharm Pharmaceuticals and Bayer AG have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to Localize Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in Women's Health and Family Planning for local and African markets
The collaboration strengthens Egypt’s national priorities by promoting local manufacturing, advancing women’s health and directly supporting Egypt’s National Population and Development Strategy. It further contributes to expanding the country’s pharmaceutical export capacity across Africa, reinforcing Egypt’s position as a regional hub for medicines production.
This key milestone builds on Minapharm’s long-standing expertise in technology transfer and global partnerships, reinforcing its position as a pioneering industrial platform capable of supporting national health priorities and expanding export to regional and African markets.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Global Population Health Development Congress (GPHDC), in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs, Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairperson of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), and Dr. Hisham Stait, Chairman of the Unified Procurement Authority (UPA).
