8 days later⊠my bags are back. đ§łâ€ïž
I honestly had already given up.
And then suddenly, with the help of so many people, they made their way back to me.
I feel so grateful. â€ïž
To everyone who called, asked, translated, checked, drove, followed up⊠thank you. Really.
But this little suitcase drama also showed me something about myself.
I know how to fight for things. đ
I ask questions. I push. I want answers. I want to know what happens next.
And this quality has helped me many times in my life.
But I also see how much of it comes from wanting to feel safe.
Maybe that is one of the biggest things I have been learning through my eczema journey too.
There were so many times I wanted to fix my skin, understand everything, find the next solution, DO something.
And sometimes what I actually needed was to surrender a little.
Not surrender as in giving up.
Surrender as in: Iâve done what I can. Now I can let go a little.
Trust my body.
Trust the process.
Trust that I donât need to have every answer today.
Iâm still learning this. Clearly. đ
Tanzania is already showing me a different rhythm. More patience. More trust. More being okay with not knowing exactly how or when. đčđż
Maybe healing is a little bit of both.
Knowing when to fight for yourselfâŠ
and knowing when itâs safe to stop fighting. đ€
And today Iâm just very happy to have my little things back. đđ§łâ€ïž
