🌼 June Blooms 🌼
June is a fantastic time to get out into the countryside and enjoy some of the UK’s wildflowers. Elderflower is everywhere right now and is often used in cordials and teas, while chamomile, yarrow and meadowsweet all have a long history in traditional herbal remedies. Wild roses are blooming along hedgerows, and the sweet scent of lime blossom is starting to fill the air.
It’s a great reminder that many of the plants growing around us have been valued for generations, not just for their beauty but for their connection to health and wellbeing. Whether you’re out for a walk or simply enjoying the flowers in your local area, June is one of the best months to appreciate nature at its finest.
Just remember to admire wild plants unless you’re absolutely certain what they are: some, like foxgloves, are beautiful but highly toxic.
