Being a health related fitness coach for youth development it's about understanding youth development, psychology and counselling.
How wrong could I beπŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯.

We see the current increase in youth injuries across a variety of sports.
But this appears to be they way to go.

Released today Nexfix story of Rafael Nadal. How he risked is health to become number one.

Early on he was diagnosed with Mueller-Weiss syndrome, the condition is caused by "abnormal forces that act on an immature bone" due to intense training as a child. Playing on different surfaces during competitions.

Fears he would never play again a special insole was made, he played in constant pain.

The insole led to a knee injury, medication and further health issues in his intestines due to pain killers. In 2022 he played and won with an injection that made his foot numb.

Coached from the age of three, he was denied water and to play with broken finger. Which later caused compulsive behaviour disorder and he sought psychological support.. Now we understand the movement of the bottles.

So when we look at Jack Draper is sidelined due to a knee injury. Emma Raducanu with back and foot injury all played from a young age.

Then we see the increase in football injuries, muscle strains, tears and ACL. Analysts link the injuries to workload, high press and high sprints.

So the saying NO PAIN is NO GAIN? πŸ‘

Or we can look at youth development and how many injuries have been sustained at youth level that is transferred to Elite level.

So the question.. To be the number 1, you have to be that 1% who make it from youth level and just deal with the pain, Or is UTHFITT that 1% that would allow young individuals to achieve more because we understand youth development. πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I put at post out last week re youth development and fitness.
One of the comments :- we tried a similar approach but the ROI was low.

I get it from a business point of view.

But when you look at ROI on the individual you are involved with.

πŸ’₯ Youngest player for Premiership club.
πŸ’₯ Return back to their sport after patella injury, no operation required.
πŸ’₯ Return back to their sport after PPTD injury and scholarship opportunity.
πŸ’₯ Knocked 2 seconds of swimming BP with no extra training.
πŸ’₯ Young individual being bullied in a dark place mentally . Returned back to same school more confident and belief.
πŸ’₯ Young individual left school with 7 GCSEs after being labelled and not attending lessons.
πŸ’₯ Young individuals to self regulate who have been involved in countylines.
πŸ’₯ Young individual who is T1-T5 can achieve so much more.
πŸ’₯ Supporting young individuals on the oncology ward to reduce PJ paralysis.

May be I need to shout more as if you only focus on the πŸ’Έ πŸ’Έ πŸ’Έ πŸ’Έ of ROI. You and young individuals will miss out on their investment opportunities and contribition in the future.

We don't coach sport but youth development with child psychology, counselling, trauma responsive and safetalk.

Support the individual with an holistic approach you will get a ROI.

Youth fitness is now becoming the next big business πŸ’Έ πŸ’Έ πŸ’³

Youth sports has been commercialised into a multi-billion-pound global industry. This has fundamentally altered youth development by focusing on profit-driven structures, with low output.

Sport and fitness are different. Fitness can support Injury reduction in their chosen game and enhance performance.

In sport we have seen the increase in youth injuries due to being coached and trained as adults. Poor nutrition consumption and increase muscle mass.

We now have nutrition products being aimed at young individuals :- protein bars and shakes when good whole nutrition is the answer.

Being a health related fitness coach for youth development over the last 16 yrs I have seen the increase in strength and conditioning (S&C) programmes. Social media showing high intensity sessions using young individuals to progress in their sport.

So before you look at commiting to the next multi million pound business consider the following.

1)Youth development is a journey not a race.
2) Youth appropriate equipment to support joint stability.
3) Is the coach youth specific or can they coach any age group.
4) Understanding of growth spurts in both boys and girls.
5) Sessions have to be FUN. Engaging and interesting.
6) Physical Activity is important to support physical and mental well-being if it is having the adverse affect then you have to ask is this the right programme for my young individual.
7) Be alert to eating disorders and body dysmorphia caused by poor mental health due to expectations.

Why at UTHFiTT we look at
Frequency - Intensity - Type - Time.

Does it cost πŸ’ΈπŸ’ΈπŸ’Έ for young individuals to achieve their goal. No! so don't have the FOMO or ROMO.

Fitness coach and gladiator Matt Morsia has sparked debate after speaking out about childhood obesity.

His comments have reignited difficult conversations around childhood obesity, parenting, healthy eating and where the line falls between concern and blame.

While some agree society has become too comfortable ignoring serious health risks in children, others say shaming parents is unhelpful and oversimplifies a complex issue influenced by poverty, mental health, education and access to healthy food.

As well as offering his views, Matt also offered advice for parents of obese children, urging them to 'build movement into everyday life, and telling parents to 'force' their children to do activities.
He added: 'If that means forcing them to do an activity to lose some fat, then that's something you've got to do.'
He also urged parents to educate their children about 'good food choices.'

We are passionate about youth development, but today was potentially the last session.. 😭😭.
Indoors...😁 the sun was out and we know the benefits of physical activity and being outside.

Why this time of year we plan two sessions one indoor and one outdoor. We are always checking the weather forecast.😎 🌈 🌧️ β˜”β›ˆοΈ

It is great to have the opportunity to be flexible and allow our sessions to change throughout the year. It is like planning for your garden lawn health. πŸŒ±πŸπŸπŸƒ
52 week training programme taking in the seasons to allow young individuals to flourish.
