Some pages from a new Move Mojo resource developed as part of our project with Save the Children and community partners Donate 1 Create 1.

This project supports children and young people with SEND through inclusive sport, movement and climate awareness.

The resource has been built to help Move Mojo coaches, D1C1 practitioners, volunteers and teachers deliver sessions that are:

• inclusive
• adaptable
• practical
• easy to repeat
• built around the children in front of them

The session cards use games and activities to explore themes like recycling, ocean pollution, weather, trees, safe spaces and looking after the planet.

The aim is simple: use sport and movement to create accessible learning opportunities, while building local confidence and capacity so sessions can continue beyond the project.

Inclusive sport. Community delivery. Sustainable impact.

We’ve been building this one over the last few months.

This summer, we’re launching Inclusive Sport & Climate Days — a collaboration between Move Mojo, Donate 1 Create 1 and Save the Children.

The focus is simple:
Sport is a vehicle for education and empowerment.

We’re using sport and movement to create accessible opportunities for children with SEND, while introducing climate awareness in a way that actually connects — through activity, not just conversation.

What that looks like:
• Inclusive, small-group sessions
• Activities adapted to individual needs
• Multi-sport delivery built around engagement and confidence
• Climate themes embedded into the session design

How it works in practice:
• Team games – e.g. Battleships adapted into “knocking over the icebergs”
• Individual challenges – e.g. “What’s the Time Mr Wolf” reframed around rising temperatures
• Group tasks – e.g. treasure hunts linking movement with key climate concepts

Everything is delivered through play, movement and interaction

What this allows us to do:
• Engage groups that are often harder to reach through traditional education
• Create entry points into wider topics through something familiar
• Build confidence, communication and understanding at the same time

This builds on our wider inclusive sport work, but takes it into a space where sport is used more deliberately as a tool to explore real-world issues.

Good to be working alongside Donate 1 Create 1 and Save the Children on this.

More to follow as we roll this out over the summer.

We’re launching a brand new programme for adults with SEND and their caregivers in Tamworth — in partnership with  Support Staffordshire and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System (ICS) LIF project.

This is a collaboration with other VSCE groups and partners within the area so that we can best reach the people who need this the most and start to proactively tackle health inequalities in a fun, engaging and inclusive manner.

This is a collaboration with partners across the area — because three years of learning has taught us one thing clearly:

⚠️ You have to go to people. Not wait for them to come to you ⚠️

Sport has become less relevant to the community because we expect harder to reach groups to come to us in order to access sport and activity.

Instead we reverse engineer this and we bring:

🏹 Archery into day centres and churches
🥌 Curling into village halls
⚽ Invasion games into community centres

Ultimately meeting people where they are, in spaces they already trust.

That’s how we reach the people who need this the most. That’s how we start to proactively tackle health inequalities in a way that’s fun, engaging and genuinely inclusive.

This is what partnering with us looks like.

When we work with our partners, we bridge the gap between academic practice and practical, real-world delivery — taking the theory and making it work on the ground, for real coaches, in real settings.

We enable our partners with the workshops, resources and equipment they need to go beyond the mainstream — supporting the wider needs of every child they work with, including those with neurodiversity and SEND.

Case study 👇
The Crossbar Group Foundation deliver PE within mainstream school settings. We spent the day training their PE staff to adapt target sports, invasion sports, and court and wall games — stripping it back to the core skills, and then constraining the task, the environment and the individual to create a wider, more scaffolded learning experience for every child in the room.

✨ This summer we were proud to pilot our Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) delivery for Walsall Council.

It was brilliant to start a local programme for families in Walsall, creating fun, safe and inclusive sessions where young people could try new Paralympic-style sports such as archery, boccia, volleyball and curling.

What made this special was:
✅ A calm and supportive environment
✅ Small group delivery with staff trained in SEND coaching
✅ A focus on confidence, movement and fun – not pressure or judgement
✅ Activities designed to be adapted for every child

We’re really pleased with how the summer went and look forward to building on this partnership to give more families across Walsall the chance to get active together.
