This week tested a lot of us in different ways.

Sometimes the hardest obstacles are the ones we carry quietly, like doubt, pressure, or resistance within ourselves; other times they come from the demands around us, unexpected changes, or simply trying to keep everything moving.

Noticing these patterns helps us build awareness, and that awareness helps us build resilience for the next time life feels heavy.

What can you expect from Part 1 of Healing Arts Week?

Press the RESET Button – Online Journal Session
đź“… 25 June | 7pm

Before we explore our stories through the themes of Past, Present and Future in the face-to-face workshop, we begin with a RESET.

This guided online journal session is an opportunity to pause, step back from the demands of everyday life, and take stock of where you are right now.

Together we will explore:
• A simple grounding exercise
• Guided reflective journalling prompts
• Identifying what is currently taking up your mental and emotional space
• Recognising the pressures, expectations, and responsibilities influencing your wellbeing
• Setting an intention for the creative journal workshop

This session also marks the beginning of a new series of themed reflective journal sessions, creating an ongoing space for pause, reflection, and personal insight throughout the year.

Although this session is now fully booked, I will keep you updated on future themed journal sessions and wellbeing opportunities.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is stop long enough to notice where we are before deciding where we want to go next.

Why People Don't Recognise Wellbeing

Wellbeing often only gets noticed when it stops working.

Many people judge their wellbeing by one simple question:

"Can I still get through the day?"

If they're getting up for work, looking after others, paying the bills, and managing their responsibilities, they assume everything is fine.

But wellbeing is about more than functioning.

✔️You can be exhausted and still show up.
✔️You can feel overwhelmed and still meet deadlines.
✔️You can feel disconnected and still keep everyone else happy.

Over time, the pressures and expectations of everyday life can become so familiar that we stop noticing their impact.

Being constantly busy becomes normal.
Putting yourself last becomes normal.
Feeling stressed becomes normal.
Running on empty becomes normal.

When something feels normal for long enough, we stop seeing it as a wellbeing issue and start accepting it as part of life.

That is often why people don't recognise their wellbeing needs attention until their mind, body, or emotions force them to stop and listen.

How I Can Help

Through Life Story Coach by Jenni, I help people create space to reflect, reconnect with themselves, and understand what may be affecting their wellbeing.

Support is available through:
• 1:1 coaching sessions
• Wellbeing workshops
• Guided journalling and reflective activities
• Wellbeing tools and resources
• Community wellbeing programmes and events

The first step is often awareness. You can't address what you've normalised.

I felt lost for a while, trying to fit into spaces that never quite felt like mine. The more I posted, networked, and realigned, the clearer it became that my strength has always been in sociology, community, and creativity.

That’s where my focus is now. I want to work with organisations that make a difference, and with people and communities to reduce isolation and promote positive mental health through storytelling. Your story builds character.

This is my focus.

When we face challenges, it’s easy to internalise everything and lose sight of the bigger picture. The expectations, the setbacks, the unexpected, life-changing moments—they can feel overwhelming.

But while we can’t control everything, we can choose how we respond. We can set boundaries, a shift in mindset - reframing your story. We can put ourselves first and prioritise self-care.

This is your reminder: how you respond matters more than you think. Your strength is in your choices.

When life feels overwhelming, we often cope by going through the motions and telling ourselves everything is fine.

But what if we paused for a moment? What if we gave ourselves permission to be honest?
To say, “I’m not okay today. I need a break. I need space.”

You do not have to search far for that space. It is already here.
Welcome to a place where real conversations happen. A place where you can vent, laugh, or share without judgment. A place where you leave not just lighter, but equipped with coping tools you can carry into everyday life.

This is not pressure. This is not overwhelming. This is not something you have to perform in.
This space is whatever you need it to be.

Welcome to The Life Lounge — where community meets wellbeing.

Wellbeing is built through small, consistent actions that support your daily life. By introducing simple habits into your routine, you can begin to experience a meaningful shift in mindset. These changes not only strengthen positive mental health, but also help reduce feelings of isolation.

When you prioritise your wellbeing, you develop the tools and resilience needed to navigate life’s transitions and challenges. It also opens the door to connecting with others who are on a similar journey, creating a sense of shared growth and support.

Wellbeing is the foundation for everything we do. Treat it with the care and respect it truly deserves.

Your session may be facilitated by me, but it is always led by you.

I do not give advice. Instead, I ask the kind of questions that gently guide you inward, helping you uncover your own answers. Together, we explore your triggers, your patterns, and your reactions—seeking to understand them not only on a personal level, but within the wider context of your life.

My approach is about seeing the whole person. And when we take that view, we often find ourselves going deeper than expected - unpacking layers that have quietly shaped thoughts, choices, and behaviours over time.

I recently worked with someone who came to me feeling stuck. No matter what we explored, the outcome remained the same. Then, during one session, they shared something that seemed completely unrelated - but it shifted everything. It revealed a deeper influence on their thinking and decision-making that had been hidden in plain sight.

I am not a therapist, and I gently suggested that further support in that direction might be helpful. But what that moment did offer was powerful awareness. It brought context, exposed patterns, and highlighted triggers. And awareness, as always, is the first step toward change.

Life coaching can sometimes be misunderstood. But when it is done with care, intention, and the right approach, it has the power to unlock doors that have long remained hidden. It can open new chapters, reshape beliefs, and create space for growth.

And witnessing that change, that shift in someone’s story, is what makes this work so meaningful.
