This weekend, Bridlington becomes one of the most exciting places in the whole of the UK! 🏁

Race the Waves returns to Bridlington South Beach where vintage cars, custom hot rods and motorcycles will speed across the sands, engines roaring. And new for 2026, we have the Ken Fox Wall of Death and tank rides along the beach. Yes, really!

But that's not all. Running alongside it, the Great Bridlington Steampunk Weekend transforms the Royal Hall at Bridlington Spa into a spectacular celebration of creativity, vintage style and steampunk culture, now in its sixth year and completely free to attend. Entertainment, workshops, author appearances, a remarkable emporium of steampunk treasures and an impressive display of vintage vehicles and motorcycles. The perfect complement to what's happening on the beach just outside!

Freedom Festival is on the move and it’s coming to Bridlington!

Hull’s world-famous Freedom Festival is hitting the road this summer with its Freedom On Tour programme, bringing breathtaking performances of circus, theatre, music and dance to East Yorkshire. Come along and watch for free!

One month to go and we can't wait! 🏁

Race the Waves returns to Bridlington's South Beach on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September and it's going to be an incredible weekend. Vintage cars and motorcycles racing across the beach, the rumble of powerful engines, fresh sea air and that unique atmosphere that only Race the Waves delivers.

And this year there are two brilliant new additions that we are particularly excited about:

💀 Ken Fox Wall of Death. Making its Race the Waves debut, the legendary Ken Fox Wall of Death brings jaw-dropping skill and daring to the seafront as riders defy gravity in one of the UK's most iconic motorcycle stunt shows. Tickets just £4 per person on the day.

🪖 Beach Tank Rides. Yes, really! Brand new for 2026, SWB Motorsport are offering tank rides along Bridlington South Beach. An utterly unique experience at just £10 per person. Minimum height 1.2 metres.

Start planning your visit and if accommodation isn't sorted yet, don't leave it too long! Bridlington fills up fast for Race the Waves.

Have you seen this? 🌟

Bridlington has been featured in The Telegraph as part of their summer series taking a fresh look at Britain's best seaside towns, and it makes for a really lovely read.

Writer Helen Pickles visited Bridlington and discovered what so many of us already know - that this is a town with real character and genuine charm. From the thriving harbour and fresh local lobster to the stunning beaches, Bridlington Spa, and the historic Old Town, Bridlington's many qualities are celebrated throughout the article.

We particularly loved this quote from fifth generation fisherman Rich Pockley, who sums it up perfectly: he says the town has gorgeous beaches, lovely pubs in the Old Town and that everybody speaks to one another. Couldn't have put it better ourselves! 😊

It's always wonderful to see Bridlington getting the recognition it deserves on a national stage.

Say hello to Zuri! 🦓🥰

A baby zebra has been born at Bridlington Birds of Prey & Animal Park and she's already stolen everyone's hearts! Zuri, meaning 'beautiful' in Swahili, is the offspring of mum Lola and dad Marty, and is doing absolutely brilliantly. The Grant's zebra is classified as near threatened, making this a really special arrival for the park.

Pop in and say hello. We have a feeling Zuri is going to be very popular!
