Happy international tea day... โ๏ธ๐ซโค๏ธ
Am sitting in my garden, in a sunny spot, looking at the flowers, listening to the birds and drinking a cup of tea.๐ธ๐ฆโ๏ธ A mindful moment in a busy day of consultations and client plans.
I stopped drinking tea in favour of coffee years ago - I loved the buzz of coffee and tea was dull in comparison.
But when my parents moved close to me, they started to make me a cup of tea when I popped round. There is something so comforting and 'home' about a good cup of tea - especially when someone makes it for you โค๏ธ
I recommend tea to my clients often - green tea is especially rich in antioxidants (polyphenols) and can help with everything from hormonal and skin health to metabolism and weight loss.๐ต
Herbal teas like lemon balm, chamomile and lavender are really calming to the nervous system - and drinking them is so much nicer and can be effective as a supplement.๐
And spiced teas like chai and similar ginger/cinnamon herbal teas give extra polyphenol boosts - great for digestion, circulation and more. ๐ซ
My tea explorations took me to a lovely cafe in Manchester yesterday, where my son and I shared a sneaky cream tea - he ate the scone and I had the pot of delicious tea with rose petals and citrus peel. I'm learning that posh tea can be as good as proper coffee! ๐ซ
Hope you've had a good cup of tea today! โ๏ธโ๏ธ
