It’s official – attending a Slimming World group can have a positive impact on both you and your family 🎉!
Research published in the British Medical Journal Paediatrics Open found that parents attending weight management groups reported that their children were eating healthier food and were getting more active 🤸.
The survey of 396 Slimming World members with children aged 5 to 11 found that:
❤️ 67% of parents who were concerned about their child’s weight felt more motivated to support them after addressing their own weight
❤️ 48% reported healthy improvements in what their child ate
❤️ 27% said their child had become more physically active
The findings come as global studies predict that one in three children, teenagers and young adults could be living with overweight or obesity by 2050 – making the ripple effect that comes from being a Slimming World member more important than ever.
