☀️ Keeping Babies Safe in the Sun ☀️

As the warmer weather arrives, it’s important to remember how to protect your little ones from the sun 💛

This helpful NHS guidance highlights:
👶 Babies under 6 months - do not use sunscreen
✔️ Keep them out of direct sunlight (especially 11am–3pm)
✔️ Use shade like parasols or prams
✔️ Dress them in lightweight clothing and a wide-brim hat

👶 Babies 6-12 months
🧴 Sunscreen can be used, but it’s not the main protection
✔️ Use SPF 30+ with UVA & UVB protection
✔️ Apply generously and reapply regularly

💡 Key message: Shade and clothing come first - sunscreen is secondary

💧 Stay Hydrated, Stay Well 💧

With warmer weather here, it’s so important to keep on top of your fluid intake - dehydration can happen more easily than you think!

These helpful NHS graphics highlights:
✅ Common causes of dehydration
✅ Signs and symptoms to look out for
✅ Simple ways to treat and prevent it

👉 Look out for signs like feeling tired, dizziness, dry lips or dark urine - these can all be early warnings.

💡 Top tip: Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day, especially if you're feeling unwell, spending time in the sun, or staying active.

Crewe Care Community are proud to support St Paul’s Foodbank, who work hard year round to help local people who need it most.

A huge thank you to the staff at Eagle Bridge - the District nurses, Respiratory and Therapy teams and Admin staff - for their generous donations and ongoing support. Your kindness helps keep our community strong 💙

If you’re able to, please consider donating essential long life food items such as tinned food and dried pasta - every contribution makes a real difference 🙌
