It is Scottish Learning Disability Week and the theme is 'I am here...to be seen'โ—๏ธ

Have a look at the website that Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities has created for it. There are plenty of resources and events to get involved. We recommend reading the real-life stories from people with lived experience to understand what life is like for people with learning disabilities.

I am here...to be seen.
Everyone deserves to be seen for who they are.
To be listened to.
To be included.
To have their strengths recognised.
To have their choices respected.

That's the message behind Scottish Learning Disability Week 2026.
Join us from 7โ€“13 September as we celebrate people with learning disabilities and work together to build a Scotland where everyone belongs.
๐Ÿ’œ Follow along.
