⚡️Protection: Offering safety, legal assistance, and necessities to people who have fled war, persecution, or disaster. Refugee Host Support acts as a shield when everything else has collapsed.

⚡️Empowerment: Helping refugees rebuild their lives through education, language skills, job training, and mental health support. We turn victims into survivors, and survivors into contributors.

⚡️Integration: Creating bridges between refugees and host communities, fostering mutual understanding, and enabling long-term belonging—not just survival.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re reflecting on the power of community—how it connects us, unites us, and supports our mental wellbeing.

At Refugee Host Support, community means hosts coming together to share experiences. It means local organisations, counsellors, and volunteers working alongside each other to create safe, welcoming environments.

Whether online or in person, in local towns or globally, we see every day how strong communities help people feel less alone, more supported, and more hopeful.

Because hosting isn’t just about offering a spare room. It’s about building a sense of belonging and purpose —for everyone.

Next week from the 17th to 23rd June we celebrate Refugee Week. This year's theme is 'Our Home'. We are encouraging our host families to use our Partner Plan resources with their guests and get creative in joining together to celebrate. Take a look at some of the the ideas below......

Our HOLD for Hosts membership includes unlimited 24/7 365 access to accredited and qualified counsellors or psychotherapists.
