Gig Buddies with Thera Trust

Gig Buddies with Thera Trust Gig Buddies with Thera Trust enables people with a learning disability to get out to more events and enjoy the social life they choose.

Our current local projects are: Gig Buddies Edinburgh, West Lothian, and Glasgow. We do this by paring our members to a volunteer who shares the same interests as them. Our 'Gig Buddies' then choose which events they go to each month and enjoy their shared passion together. Gig Buddies was set up in 2013 by Stay Up Late in Brighton and has since been established in Sydney, Australia and now here in Scotland.

💖This year, we're also walking in memory of our friend Kirsty, who loved making new friends, loved gigs, and loved staying up late.
🫶The money raised doesnt just help people get to gigs, it helps to create lasting friendships that bring people joy, meaning, and self-worth.
