I am having a couple of days rest myself to energise, hoping you are able too.

If you’ve never meditated before, mindfulness is simply the practice of paying attention to the present moment—on purpose and without judgment. There’s nothing you need to “achieve” or be good at.
Why try it?
• It helps you slow down. Most of us live on autopilot. Meditation gives you a pause button, even if just for a few minutes.
• It can reduce stress. You may notice your body relaxing and your breathing becoming steadier.

• It builds awareness. You start noticing thoughts and emotions without needing to fix or fight them.
• It supports focus and clarity. Even short sessions can help your mind feel less scattered.
• It’s gentle and personal. Everyone’s experience is different—and all of them are okay.
What meditation is not
• It’s not about emptying your mind. Thoughts will come and go—that’s normal.
• It’s not about forcing relaxation or “doing it right.”
• It’s not about changing who you are.

Nothing is right or wrong, it's about allowing yourself to just be in the moment at that time and more importantly time just for you, time out from the hustle and bustle of the world around you. Whether you listen to music you like or look for guided meditations, there are so many ways to take time out and it's not always something we are good at allowing for ourselves is it.
Something like when you sit in your garden maybe having a cup of tea and you find that listening to the bird song and daydreaming but actually you have given yourself that time to is classed as meditation, also if you like to knit, crochet, paint all of these tasks are mindful as all you are concentrating on what you are doing and everything else seems to fade away into the background.
Meditation reached the West mainly in the 20th century, through teachers, scholars, and monks traveling from Asia to Europe and North America.
In recent decades, scientists and psychologists began studying meditation’s effects on:
• Stress
• Mental health

• Focus
• Physical well-being

And now find being practiced within healthcare, schools, workplaces, and therapy.

Last night, early evening I sat in a spot to normal in garden, its always interesting to see from a different point of view.

I had my bodyguards out in front of me 🥰

My beautiful weeping silver birch to the side. Everytime we go to the cabin we walk under her, her beautiful healing energy being felt.

How do these words sit with you?
It did resonate with me, as think I should be doing something, or I have a list of things to do. Don't feel guilty either, a word found at sometime as a form of control (my personal thoughts) as a way to get you to do something.
