2026 — the year I chose to invest in knowledge.
These past 8 months have been incredible to reflect back on.
From being offered a new unit in January and having the opportunity to expand my business, to consciously choosing to invest more into my education, experiences and understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine - this year has taught me SO much.
I’ve tried new ventures and explored ideas that I genuinely thought I would love, only to realise they weren’t for me.. It’s a little like dating… sometimes you have to experience something to know whether it’s the right fit.
But every experience has taught me something.
I’ve put myself into rooms and spaces where I wasn’t always sure I would fit in, and those have often been the places where I’ve learnt the most. They’ve opened my eyes to just how far TCM can take me, the areas I want to explore more deeply and, ultimately, where I would love to specialise.
This year I’ve attended conferences, learnt from professors, researchers and practitioners from around the world, hosted wellness events, shared my own knowledge of TCM, explored auricular acupuncture in group settings and experienced new ways of bringing ancient medicine into modern healthcare and wellness.
One of my biggest highlights was attending my first human cadaver and acupuncture experience, allowing me to further deepen my understanding of anatomy and how it relates to acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
TCM has thousands of years of history behind it. I could/am dedicating my entire lifetime to studying the art and philosophy of TCM and still, I know I’ll never know everything.
My curiosity for knowledge is never-ending.
2026 so far has been about growth, investing in myself, finding my direction and understanding that I don’t need to have it all figured out.
There is always another teacher to learn from, another perspective to understand and another layer of this incredible medicine to discover.
And we’re only 8 months in…
