Meet Luna, our gorgeous little Frenchie. ❤️🐾
Luna was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) around five years ago, but recently we’ve noticed some changes that are beginning to affect her back legs and mobility. As you can imagine, it’s been difficult watching her have days where she’s clearly uncomfortable and in pain.
When it came to supporting Luna, it felt like a natural option to explore. Before anyone asks, I don’t treat her myself – in the UK only qualified vets can legally perform acupuncture on animals.
She has recently started seeing a veterinary acupuncturist at Cotswold Veterinary Acupuncture - Lindsay Brazil who has been absolutely fantastic. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but she is also so calm, patient and gentle with Luna, especially on days when she’s feeling sore and sensitive (like today)
Just look at these photos! 😍 Luna completely relaxes during treatment and seems to know she’s in safe hands. And as you can see from the last picture, acupuncture is clearly exhausting work – she was a very sleepy girl afterwards! 😴
We’re hopeful that acupuncture will help keep her comfortable, support her mobility and maintain her quality of life for a little longer.
A huge thank you to Lindsey for taking such wonderful care of our precious girl. ❤️
