ONE WEEK POST-OP | UK FACE CONGRESS LIVE SURGERY
Our 66-year-old live-surgery patient is recovering well one week after undergoing deep-plane facial rejuvenation with Dr Fas Arshad FRCS (ORL-HNS), Consultant Facial Plastic Surgeon, at UK FACE Congress 2026.
While international faculty including Chiara Botti, Renert Gad, Mike Nayak, Ramtin Kassir and Lessandro Martins lectured in the auditorium, delegates joined the operating-theatre broadcast at key stages for live surgical updates and anatomical teaching.
The procedure included:
• Deep-plane facelift with modiolus support
• Layer V plication of the deeper supportive tissues
• Deep-neck contouring and muscle reshaping
• Reduction of prominent submandibular glands
• Improved jawline definition and cervicomental angle
Her prominent glands contributed significantly to fullness beneath the jaw, making careful gland reduction an important part of achieving a more defined neck and mandibular contour.
At her one-week review, her facial movement, tongue movement and tongue sensation were intact. She is recovering well and is very pleased with her early progress.
This was the first stage of her treatment. Forehead reduction, brow lifting and periorbital rejuvenation are planned for approximately six months’ time.
This is an early postoperative update rather than a final surgical result. At one week, swelling, bruising, tightness and temporary changes in facial contour are expected, and the tissues will continue to soften, settle and refine over the coming weeks and months. Recovery and outcomes vary between patients and cannot be guaranteed. The procedure was planned following an individual clinical assessment and performed with the patient’s fully informed consent. Images and clinical details are shared with her specific permission for educational purposes.
