Bringing together facial plastic surgeons from across Europe is exactly what UK FACE is about: sharing ideas, exchanging techniques, challenging established paradigms and learning from one another to continue advancing facial plastic and aesthetic surgery.

We’re incredibly grateful for their support and contribution. The work being undertaken by the Dorow Clinics in Germany and Switzerland is internationally recognised, and it was fantastic to have this expertise represented in Leeds.

We now look forward to continuing the collaboration and to welcoming our European colleagues back to share, teach and contribute to the next chapter of UK FACE.

Dr Saman highlighted the importance of hands-on surgical education, shared learning and the opportunity for both delegates and faculty to learn from one another.

Later in the day, he led an advanced rhinoplasty master dissection, sharing the finer details and techniques behind his approach.

A shared learning experience with perspectives from across the globe 🌍

On Day 0 of the UK FACE Congress 2026, Congress Organiser Dr Fas Arshad caught up with renowned Egyptian plastic surgeon and rhinoplasty expert Dr Ahmed Mansour inside the Cadaveric Anatomy Laboratory at the University of Leeds.

Following an advanced demonstration by Dr Mike Nayak, Dr Mansour reflected on the quality of the cadaveric specimens, the innovative audiovisual technology and the opportunity to learn directly from leading international faculty.

With advanced facelift and rhinoplasty dissections taking place on the same day, the laboratory created a truly multidisciplinary environment—allowing surgeons to exchange techniques, explore different perspectives and strengthen their understanding of facial anatomy.

The morning focused on facelift surgery, with Dr Mansour bringing his exceptional rhinoplasty expertise to the afternoon session. An inspiring start to four days of surgical education, collaboration and innovation at UK FACE 2026. ✨

“This is the pinnacle of surgical education.” 🌍

On Day 0 of the UK FACE Congress 2026, Congress Organiser Dr Fas Arshad spoke with internationally renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr Jamil Asaria, who joined us in Leeds from Toronto for the advanced cadaveric dissection laboratory at the University of Leeds.

Dr Asaria described the session as one of the most successful cadaver laboratories he has been part of, bringing together world-class faculty, exceptional specimens and expert demonstrators from across the globe.

The afternoon rhinoplasty programme featured Dr Asaria leading a master dissection focused on advanced nasal tip work. By exposing the anatomy in detail and demonstrating multiple approaches to the same surgical challenge, delegates were able to explore the subtle techniques, decision-making and finesse that cannot always be learned from textbooks, lectures or surgical observation alone.

An exceptional opportunity to examine, understand and perform advanced techniques under the guidance of some of the world’s leading surgeons—right here in Leeds. ✨

ONE WEEK POST-OP | UK FACE CONGRESS LIVE SURGERY

Our 66-year-old live-surgery patient is recovering well one week after undergoing deep-plane facial rejuvenation with Dr Fas Arshad FRCS (ORL-HNS), Consultant Facial Plastic Surgeon, at UK FACE Congress 2026.

While international faculty including Chiara Botti, Renert Gad, Mike Nayak, Ramtin Kassir and Lessandro Martins lectured in the auditorium, delegates joined the operating-theatre broadcast at key stages for live surgical updates and anatomical teaching.

The procedure included:

• Deep-plane facelift with modiolus support
• Layer V plication of the deeper supportive tissues
• Deep-neck contouring and muscle reshaping
• Reduction of prominent submandibular glands
• Improved jawline definition and cervicomental angle

Her prominent glands contributed significantly to fullness beneath the jaw, making careful gland reduction an important part of achieving a more defined neck and mandibular contour.

At her one-week review, her facial movement, tongue movement and tongue sensation were intact. She is recovering well and is very pleased with her early progress.

This was the first stage of her treatment. Forehead reduction, brow lifting and periorbital rejuvenation are planned for approximately six months’ time.

This is an early postoperative update rather than a final surgical result. At one week, swelling, bruising, tightness and temporary changes in facial contour are expected, and the tissues will continue to soften, settle and refine over the coming weeks and months. Recovery and outcomes vary between patients and cannot be guaranteed. The procedure was planned following an individual clinical assessment and performed with the patient’s fully informed consent. Images and clinical details are shared with her specific permission for educational purposes.

Reflecting on Day 1 of UK FACE Congress 2026 — the official opening day of an incredible Congress. 🌍✨

We began with an unforgettable live surgery from Dr Ramtin Kassir, giving delegates a unique opportunity to watch his technique in real time, follow each stage of the procedure and learn directly from one of the leading names in facial plastic surgery.

With expert discussion, live surgical education and an international audience both in the auditorium and online, Day 1 set an incredible standard for the days ahead.
The energy throughout the day was exceptional, with surgeons from around the world coming together in Leeds to share knowledge, challenge ideas and advance surgical education.

A huge thank you to Dr Ramtin Kassir, our faculty, delegates and everyone behind the scenes who made the opening day such a success. 🙌

Day 1 set the tone for an unforgettable UK FACE Congress 2026.
