Performance-related Injuries with Frances Collier
Many patients in General Practice present with persistent musculoskeletal pain and injury where traditional advice alone is often not enough. Understanding how people move - and how movement patterns contribute to pain - can open up new ways of helping these patients recover.
In this practical and thought-provoking session, Frances Collier, an Injury Specialist and Movement Expert working in the performance and entertainment industry, will share the key movement principles she uses with performers and elite professionals whose bodies are central to their work.
Drawing on her experience in high-performance environments, Frances will explore simple, practical movement strategies that can help patients overcome many of the common injuries seen in General Practice. She will also offer a fascinating insight into the unique physical challenges faced by performers and artists working in the entertainment world.
This session is designed to provide practical insights, new ways of thinking about injury, and immediately useful ideas you can bring back into your consultations.
We will aim for a Small Group of 10-20 Health Professionals.
