We look at your entire body, discuss your lifestyle and habits, and come up with a recovery programme that fits in with your life. Our state of the art

facilities inside London’s exclusive Lansdowne Club include a weights floor for strengthening exercises, treadmills for analysing and teaching running techniques, and spin bikes, static bikes, rowing machines and cross trainers for other injuries and conditions. A clinic environment that matches the clinical standard.

Where you receive treatment matters. At Physio Remedies at The Lansdowne Club, we’ve created an environment that supports the standard of care we want every patient to receive - specialist clinical expertise, privacy, comfort and access to advanced rehabilitation and testing equipment.

But high-quality physiotherapy isn’t defined by facilities and technology alone.

Clear communication is an important part of good clinical care. That means listening to the patient, communicating closely with their consultant or surgeon where appropriate, and building a rehabilitation plan that can realistically work around their life.

Work trips, holidays, family commitments, children and demanding schedules all influence what a patient can manage. We may know clinically what an ideal rehabilitation programme looks like, but if it cannot be integrated into that patient’s life, it is unlikely to deliver the outcome we are working towards.

Our role is to combine the clinical evidence with an understanding of the individual in front of us - adapting where necessary without losing sight of the goals of rehabilitation.

At The Lansdowne Club, that approach is supported by an environment designed for focused, individualised care.

Clinical expertise. Advanced facilities. Clear communication. Care that works in the real world.

Expert advice. Better recovery. Stronger you. 💙

At Physio Remedies, these are not just words. They are the standard we hold ourselves to with every patient who comes through our doors.

Expert advice means seeing a senior specialist physiotherapist from day one. Someone with the depth of knowledge and clinical experience to understand not just what is painful, but why, and what needs to happen for it to genuinely improve.

Better recovery means a clear plan, the right technology, and a clinician who follows your progress all the way through, not one who hands you a sheet of exercises and sends you on your way.

But better recovery also means something else: a plan that actually fits your life. We know that clinical expertise alone is not enough. If a rehabilitation programme does not account for a demanding work schedule, a busy home life, children, travel, or the fact that you are away for two weeks in August, it will not work. Knowing what to do is only half of it. Helping you find a way to actually do it is the other half.

Stronger you means leaving our care not just pain free, but more resilient, more informed about your body, and better equipped to stay well for the long term.

If that is the kind of care you are looking for, we would love to hear from you.

Summer is brilliant. But it does have a habit of finding our weak spots. 🌞

Here are the 5 most common injuries we see this time of year, and what is usually behind them:

🧳 Lower Back Pain from Travel
Long-haul flights, road trips, unfamiliar beds. Ironic but common: holidays cause as many back injuries as sport.

🏊 Swimmer's Shoulder
Rotator cuff irritation from repetitive overhead movement in the pool or open water. Starts as a dull ache and worsens if stroke mechanics and load are not addressed.

🎾 Tennis Elbow
Rackets come out of cupboards before the forearm is ready. You do not need to play tennis. Gardening, DIY, and water sports are all common culprits.

🏃 Runner's Knee
Increased outdoor mileage without adequate strength work. Pain around or behind the kneecap, worse on hills and stairs.

☀️ Dehydration and Heat-Related Stiffness
Often overlooked. Dehydration and overheating increase muscle cramping and joint stiffness. People push harder in the heat than they realise.

The good news? Every one of these is treatable, and most are preventable with the right guidance.

If you or someone you know has picked up a summer ni**le, do not wait for it to become a bigger problem. Get in touch with our team and we will help you get back to enjoying the season.

Paul has been part of our team for over 20 years. Alongside his clinical work at the clinic, he has dedicated much of his career to elite sport: first with the English Institute of Sport, and more recently with the UK Sports Institute, supporting both Paralympic and Olympic programmes. He has attended six Paralympic Games, an experience he describes as something he was very fortunate to be part of.

His clinical interest spans both upper and lower limb conditions, with a particular focus on how the spine influences the whole musculoskeletal system. As Paul explains it, the cervical and lumbar spine can directly affect the shoulders, hips, and knees, while the thoracic spine plays a key role in shaping breathing, movement, and gait. His background working with swimmers and endurance runners gives him a strong and well-rounded clinical foundation.

Paul's approach with every patient is refreshingly straightforward. He wants to help you understand what your problem is, what can be done to resolve it, what can prevent it returning, and what you can do yourself if it does come back. His goal, in his own words, is that you do not have to keep running back to physios for the rest of your life.

We are very proud to have Paul on the team.

Surgery is just a step. Recovery is the journey. 💙

It is a distinction that matters enormously. The operation treats the problem and sets the stage for what comes next. But the real work, restoring strength, rebuilding movement, and rebuilding confidence, happens in the weeks and months of rehabilitation that follow.

At Physio Remedies, post-operative rehabilitation is one of the areas we are most experienced in. Our team works closely with your referring surgeon throughout your recovery, keeping them updated on your progress and adapting your programme as your body heals and strengthens.

The road looks like this:

Intervention: surgery addresses the issue.
Recovery in progress: healing, guided movement, and structured physiotherapy help you regain function.
Restore and rebuild: stronger, healthier, and ready for life.

Consistent care and the right plan make all the difference between a good outcome and a great one.

If you or someone you know is preparing for surgery, or is already in recovery and not progressing as expected, our specialist team is here to help.

The road to recovery does not end in the operating room. We are with you every step of the way.

If you have just come back from a trip, or are heading away in the next few weeks, this one is for you.

Lifting a suitcase off the bed, carrying it downstairs, dragging it through the airport, and attempting to hoist it into an overhead locker while twenty impatient passengers watch is, in physio terms, a surprisingly demanding sequence of movements. Particularly when you are doing it in a rush, at an awkward angle, with a bag that is heavier than you remembered packing.

Suitcases are awkward rather than inherently dangerous. Problems are more likely when we are rushing, twisting, and lifting something heavier than expected, particularly if the back, shoulder, or knee was already a little sensitive before travelling.

A few simple things that make a real difference:

✅ Use a suitcase with well-functioning wheels
✅ Keep heavier items close to your body when lifting
✅ Turn your feet rather than lifting and twisting at the same time
✅ Use luggage trolleys where they are available
✅ Ask for help with overhead lockers
✅ Divide the load between two smaller bags where practical

And the most important piece of advice of all: do not pack as though you are personally responsible for supplying the entire resort. 😄

Already back with a sore back or aching shoulder from your travels? Do not wait for it to settle on its own. Early assessment means a faster recovery.

We are incredibly proud to share this review for our founder and Clinical Director, Sarah Lawson. 💙

This patient came to us having already consulted multiple physiotherapists for a highly complex ankle peroneal tendon condition, without achieving the progress they needed.

This is the kind of outcome that drives everything we do. Complex presentations that have not responded to treatment elsewhere, seen by the right specialist, with the time, expertise, and care to finally get to the root of the problem.

If you or a family member has been struggling with an ankle, foot, or other injury without finding lasting relief, Sarah and our team are here to help.

Every patient deserves the right expert. Not just any expert. 💙

There is a meaningful difference between seeing a physiotherapist and seeing the right physiotherapist for your specific condition. It is a distinction that matters enormously, particularly for complex, persistent, or post-operative presentations.

At Physio Remedies, every member of our team specialises in a specific area of the body. A shoulder presentation is seen by a shoulder specialist. A hand and wrist injury is treated by a clinician with years of dedicated focus in exactly that area. Post-operative knee rehabilitation is managed by someone who understands the surgical protocol that was used and what the recovery timeline should look like.

This is not just good practice. It is the difference between adequate care and genuinely excellent care, and it is the standard we hold ourselves to across every appointment.

It is also why consultants and surgeons across London refer their patients to us with confidence.

If you or someone you know is looking for specialist physiotherapy in Mayfair, we would love to help.
