I LOVE injectables BUT they work best on good skin.

Injectables can do things skincare simply can’t. Sometimes a skin booster, anti-wrinkle treatment or filler is absolutely the right answer — and I absolutely love them all!

But if you’re spending hundreds on your injectable treatments while completely neglecting the skin itself, you’re potentially only getting 80% of the result you could be getting.

Think of it like this…

Your injectables are working underneath. Your skincare is looking after everything on top.

And when you get both right? That’s when your skin really starts to glow.

You may even find that you feel so comfortable in your skin that you don’t feel the need to constantly book another injectable treatment.

I’m not here to tell you that you don’t need injectables.

I bloody love injectables 😂

I’m here to make sure that when you do invest in them, you’re getting the absolute best result possible.

Don’t just invest in what’s underneath your skin. Invest in the skin itself! ✨

Who is who?! 🥴🤷🏼‍♀️

There are so many titles flying around in aesthetics, most of them self proclaimed 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sadly, the fancy titles do not guarantee any kind of quality in their training or knowledge.

Change is coming but before it does here are a few things to look out for:

Trained- there is online vs in person, how would you know the quality of this? Was the trainer an electrician a few months ago? …trust me this is happening.

Advanced- just means you attended day 2 instead of just day 1 of the course, and technically this could also just be online videos.

Expert - the whole world and his wife are claiming to be experts. I’d love to be an expert but despite tens of thousands of pounds invested, continuous professional development, and thousands of procedures- I am humble enough to know whilst I am good at my job, I am still not an expert, some people are experts according only to themselves!

Some people aren’t bothered about all of this info when they go to get procedures, but if you like doing your research before you have things done, here are a few pointers to make sure you aren’t being misled 😉

Oreo-gate! 🍪

If you’ve been following Oreo gate you’ll understand why I’d rather staple my eyelids shut than have to read class chats like this! 😩

Yes, it’s important for our kids to eat well, move their bodies and grow up understanding what a healthy lifestyle looks like.

But I also think it’s important that we don’t make them worry about food, weight or their bodies before they even have the capacity to understand those things.

There has to be a balance.

A childhood doesn’t need to become restrictions and calorie counted breakfast, lunch and dinner with every bit of sugar or fat treated like the enemy. 🍪

And I think sometimes we massively overreact as parents because we’re not just thinking about what’s best for our children — we’re thinking about how we will look to everyone else.

“What will people think if I let my child eat that?”

“What will people think if I don’t?”

“What will people think of my parenting?”

And honestly, I think we do the same thing as adults.

Cosmetic treatments are a perfect example. People still care enormously about what other people think about the choices they make for their own faces and bodies. And honestly, we need to stop this!

Someone has Botox? People have an opinion. That’s poison.

Someone has filler? People have an opinion. You don’t need it.

Someone chooses to do absolutely nothing? People have an opinion. She looks tired.

But why?

We’re all allowed to make different choices.

My children don’t need to eat exactly the way someone else’s children eat. And I don’t need to make the same choices about my face that someone else makes about theirs.

Healthy doesn’t have to mean restrictive.
Self-care doesn’t have to mean perfection.
And making a different choice doesn’t automatically make someone a bad parent — or a vain person.

Maybe we should all worry a little less about how our choices look to other people, and a little more about whether they feel right for us and our families. ❤️

You can make your own choices.
And so can everyone else.

It doesn’t have to be drastic!

I love a subtle enhancement, and it’s always in pictures that difference shines.

Definition, smooth lines, and balance… beautiful! 😍

My kind of full face rejuvenation! Undetectable until you put the pictures side by side 😉

My client made me laugh recently… 🤣

After treating her under eyes, I saw her for a review to see if she needed more filler. She was happy to go with what I suggested, and happy to pay.

But she didn’t need it.

Retreating her would have meant using a dribble of product but charging her for the syringe, or taking the 99% perfect result to over treated. So I advised her not to touch them, they looked lovely!

She thanked me for being honest and joked that “I must not like money” 😂🤣🤷🏼‍♀️

This same lady had been to another clinic before I met her and every time she sat on the couch was advised of multiple treatments that she should have, in the end costing her thousands, which she never really saw any results from but had felt pressured into agreeing to.

Turns out she just needed to spend £250 at my clinic to be happy with the under eyes that had previously cost her thousands.

It’s not just about cost, of course we are all trying to make a living, it’s about being honest, realistic, and not upselling procedures just to line your pockets.

It’s about putting the patient first, not the sale.

I’d definitely be richer without integrity, but I’m just not made that way! 😂🤣
