“I hate photos from the side.”

If that sentence just made you nod, keep reading.

You can feel amazing before the photo is taken.

Hair done. Makeup on. Outfit you love.

Then someone takes a photo from the side…

And suddenly, all you can see is your chin.

The fullness underneath it.
The lack of definition.
The angle you’ve spent years trying to avoid.

So you turn your face, stand behind someone and hope nobody chooses that photo.

And honestly?

It’s not about vanity.

You don’t want a different face.

You just want to feel more comfortable with your profile.

That’s exactly why this before and after matters.

This patient was concerned about localised fullness beneath her chin and wanted to explore whether fat-dissolving injections could help improve the appearance of the area.

The treatment works by targeting and destroying fat cells in the treated area.
For the right patient, treating localised fullness beneath the chin can help create a more defined-looking profile.

But the goal isn’t to change your face.

It’s to make a considered improvement that works with your natural features.

Because sometimes the biggest change isn’t what everyone else notices.

It’s looking at a photo and thinking:

“I actually like that.”

If your chin or side profile is something you’ve quietly struggled with, a consultation is the best place to start.

We’ll assess the area, talk through your concerns and be honest about whether fat-dissolving treatment is appropriate for you — and what you can realistically expect from it.

No pressure.

No promises.

Just an honest assessment of what’s right for your face.

Because you deserve to feel comfortable being in the photograph too.

Your hairdresser noticed before you did

Maybe it was the comment they made while washing your hair

“Your hair feels a little finer than it used to”

Maybe you noticed it yourself when they were blow-drying it and suddenly realised there wasn't quite as much hair as there used to be

Because the rubbish thing isn't just about losing the hair

It's everything that comes with it

You stop styling it the way you used to because certain styles suddenly make your scalp more visible
You stop wearing it up
You change your parting

And then there are the mirrors
You start avoiding certain ones

The changing room mirror
The overhead lighting that seems to show every bit of scalp you don't want to see

And photographs become another source of anxiety

You see a picture of yourself and immediately zoom in

Why does my hair look so thin?
Has everyone else noticed?

And then we start blaming ourselves

Maybe I'm too stressed
Maybe I should take more supplements
Maybe it's because I'm getting older
Maybe I just need to accept it

But here's what I want you to know

You don't have to blame yourself for changes in your hair
And you don't have to quietly put up with them

Hair changes can be incredibly emotional, particularly for women

Because your hair isn't just hair
It's the way you've worn it for years
It's the confidence you felt when you walked out of the salon
It's throwing it into a ponytail without thinking about it

And when that starts to change, it can feel like you're losing a small part of yourself

So if your hairdresser has noticed…

If you've noticed…

If your ponytail feels smaller, your parting wider or your hair simply doesn't style the way it used to…

Please don't ignore it

You don't need to panic

But you do deserve to understand what's happening

Because the first step isn't necessarily treatment

It's answers

Let's look at your scalp, your hair density and the changes you've been experiencing, and then talk honestly about what options may be appropriate for you

No judgement
No pressure
And certainly no telling you that you just have to accept it

Because you're allowed to care about your hair
And you're allowed to do something about it

A lovely reminder of what matters most: feeling cared for, listened to and confident in the hands of someone you trust.

From the first consultation through to the final result, every part of the experience matters.

Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words. It means so much to know you felt confident in our care, and we’re incredibly grateful for your recommendation.

If you’ve been considering a treatment but aren’t sure where to start, our consultations are always about understanding you first — your concerns, your goals and what feels right for you.

I knew something had changed when my hair tie wrapped around my ponytail three times instead of two.

It sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

But if you've noticed it too… you'll know exactly what I mean.

Nobody prepares you for the moment your hair starts feeling different.

The brush fills up more quickly.

Your scalp seems more visible under bright lights.

Your parting looks wider in photographs.

You stop wearing your hair up because you're worried people might notice.

And then comes the part I hear all the time:

"It's probably just menopause."

"It's because I've lost weight."

"It's stress."

"It's my age."

Maybe.

But maybe your hair is trying to tell you something.

The truth is, many women don't realise their hair is changing until months, sometimes years, after it starts.

Because hair loss isn't always dramatic.

Sometimes it's simply that your hair doesn't feel like yours anymore.

And you are not vain for caring.

Your hair is part of your identity, your confidence and how you see yourself.

If you've noticed a change, don't ignore it.

Because you're not imagining it.

And you're certainly not alone.

Comment HAIR or send us a message if you'd like an honest conversation about what's happening and what options may be available to you.

It’s not just menopause. It’s not just stress. And it’s not something you simply have to put up with!

I hear it all the time

“My hair has definitely changed, but I think it’s just menopause”
“I’ve been under a lot of stress”
“It’s probably just part of getting older”

And sometimes, yes, hormones, stress and life changes can all play a role in what happens to our hair

But what concerns me is how quickly women learn to dismiss the changes they notice

We notice our parting becoming wider
Our ponytail feeling smaller
More hair collecting in the shower
Our scalp becoming more visible when our hair is wet
Our hair simply not having the same volume or fullness it once did

And instead of asking, Why is this happening?

We tell ourselves:
Im getting older. I suppose I just have to accept it

But why?

We excel at putting ourselves last
We spend years putting everyone else first. Our children, partners, businesses
We tolerate being exhausted, the changes in our skin and feeling uncomfortable in our bodies.

Increasingly, we seem to believe we're supposed to tolerate changes in our hair too
As though caring about it somehow makes us vain

It doesn't

Hair can be deeply connected to how you see yourself
It can be part of your identity, your femininity and your confidence
So when it begins to change, it can affect far more than what's happening on your scalp

You don't have to pretend you haven't noticed
You don't have to wait until the change becomes significant before asking questions
And you certainly don't have to feel embarrassed about wanting to understand what's happening

Because sometimes the most empowering thing you can do isn't to accept something blindly
It's to investigate
To understand your hair
To understand your scalp

And then, importantly, understand what options may be available to you

This isn't about trying to look 25 again
It's about feeling like yourself

If you've noticed that your hair simply isn't what it used to be, don't automatically write it off as "just ageing."

Your hair may be trying to tell you something.
And it's worth listening

If this sounds familiar, send me the word HAIR and let's start the conversation.

BUSTED. 😂

When the patients catch you testing out the new DAA peel-off masks before they’ve even made it properly onto the treatment menu… 👀

Apparently “professional development” now involves sitting around looking like a glazed doughnut while waiting for your face to set. 😂

But honestly… we HAD to try them ALL. Because if we’re going to put something on your face, we’re absolutely not asking you to be the guinea pig.

The verdict? 👌✨
Clinically approved.
Staff-approved.
And judging by how many of you are already asking what the hell we’re wearing… patient-approved too. 😂

But in our defence… there are THREE of them and we needed to know which one was our favourite. Obviously. 😂

✨ ANTI-AGEING RETINOL
For skin that’s starting to feel like it’s had enough of adulting. This one is all about supporting smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin with the power of retinol.

✨ ILLUMINATE ANTI-PIGMENT
For those of us who would like our pigmentation to stop making itself quite so visible, thank you very much. Designed to help improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and leave skin looking brighter and more radiant.

✨ REPLENISH HYDRATING
Basically a big drink of water for your face. 💦 Perfect when skin is feeling dry, depleted or generally looking like it’s been through one too many Mondays.

Now the difficult part… deciding which one is our favourite

Which one would your skin choose?

Can I tell you the biggest lie we all tell ourselves?
“I’ll sort it next month”

We do it with holidays.
Tax returns.
Dentist appointments.
And aesthetics.

Then somehow it’s the middle of November.

The Christmas party outfit has arrived.
You’ve booked the hair.
Booked the nails. Booked the makeup.

But your face?
Still on the to-do list.

Every single year I watch brilliant women become stressed over something that could have been sorted months earlier.

This isn’t about me selling appointments. It’s about giving you options.

Because once my diary fills, I genuinely can’t magic extra hours into the week.

If you’re already thinking about Christmas… even just a tiny bit, that’s your sign.

Let’s get it booked and forget about it until December.
