Carers Week will take place from 8–14 June 2026, and this year’s theme is Building Carer Friendly Communities💙

Across the UK, thousands of individuals and organisations will come together to help ensure unpaid carers are better understood, recognised and supported in everyday life 🙌

From schools and universities to workplaces, health and social care services, businesses and community groups, we all have a role to play in making our communities more carer friendly 🌍

Even small changes can make a big difference to carers’ daily lives and future opportunities 💫

Let’s work together to create real, lasting change and support those who care for others every day 💙

Know your heart age?

If you’re aged 40 to 74, you can now book a free NHS Health Check – and it only takes around 20–30 minutes.

Even if you feel well, this quick check can spot early signs of things like heart disease, stroke, diabetes and high blood pressure. At the end, you’ll get your ‘heart age’ – a simple way to understand how healthy your heart really is.

Pop-up and mobile van appointments are now available to book for:
📍 8 June - Madeley Community Centre, New Road, Crewe, CW3 9DN, 9am-5pm
📍 10 June - Ipstones Memorial Hall, 12 Church Lane, Ipstones, ST10 2LD, 10am-4pm
📍 12 June - Haughton Village Hall, Newport Road, Haughton, Stafford, ST18 9HB, 10am-4pm
📍 15 June - Madeley Community Centre, New Road, Crewe, CW3 9DN, 9am-5pm
📍 16 June - Biddulph Family Hub, Albert Street, Biddulph, ST8 6DT, 10am-4pm
📍 17 June - Tamworth Community Estate Day, Outside Exley Shops, B77 2LA 10am-3.30pm
📍 19 June - Fazeley Town Hall, Lichfield Street, Tamworth, B78 3QN, 9am-5pm

There are also regular clinics available to book each month if none of these are suitable.
