We have an announcement.......
After 38 dedicated years in the NHS Dr Jukes will be hanging up his stethoscope and retiring this month. He joined Warley Medical Centre as a registrar in 2000, moving to GP partner in 2001. We are incredibly grateful for his years of service and commitment to the practice. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of care and kindness that will not be forgotten. We wish him a long and happy retirement and thank him for everything over the years. He will be sorely missed! πŸ©ΊπŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈβš•οΈ

Secretary and Prescription Query Telephone Lines

We have recently moved to a total triage system. This is working very well, and we have now made the decision to remove the telephone extensions for secretaries & prescription enquiries.

From 15th June all queries need to be sent on a triage form. Patients can access the triage form through this link https://accurx.nhs.uk/patient-initiated/m88003 or on our website.

If you do not have internet access and need to call us, our receptionists will be happy to fill in the form with you. Please note, they will not be able to answer your query at that time.

The form will then go to a doctor for triaging, and you will be contacted about your query.

We thank you for your understanding.

From 20th April 2026 how you book appointments with us will be changing. We will be introducing a new Total Triage appointment system.

This change means you will no longer need to call or queue at 8am for an appointment. Instead, every request will be reviewed so we can make sure patients receive the right care, at the right time.

How the new system will work:
β€’ Patients requesting a GP appointment will complete an online form available on our website.
β€’ If you cannot access the internet, please call the surgery and our reception team will complete the form with you.
β€’ A doctor will review the information submitted.
β€’ You will then be contacted by text message or telephone, with the most appropriate next step (this may mean you will be signposted to a local chemist, offered a nurse appointment, booked a same day face to face/telephone apointment or pre-booked a routine appointment in advance)

This approach helps us make sure every patient request is assessed by a clinician and that appointments are allocated based on clinical need, not who gets through on the phone first.
We understand that changes to how services work can take a little getting used to, but we believe this system will make accessing care fairer, simpler and more effective for all our patients.

Thank you for your continued support
