Back for year two with Heineken Manchester 🍻✨

We were honoured to be invited back to host another day of Pilates as part of their Health & Safety Week supporting the team’s wellbeing in the workplace.

This time, we were lucky enough to take it outdoors and make the most of the sunshine ☀️ Nothing better than moving, stretching, and resetting in the fresh air.

The pelvic floor is often reduced to one instruction: “squeeze”

But in reality, pelvic floor function is far more complex.

It responds to breathing, pressure changes, movement, posture, and how the body manages load throughout the day.

That’s why pelvic floor squeezes alone are not always enough.

Your pelvic floor works closely with your diaphragm and deep core support, responding every time you breathe, lift, cough, stand, or exercise.

It also needs timing, coordination, and sometimes the ability to release not just contract more.

This is where Pilates can be so beneficial.

Through breath, control, alignment, and movement awareness, Pilates helps train the whole system to work together more effectively.
