Acre Homecare

Acre Homecare We believe in care that involves our Clients and works with them to make sure they are confident that our Carers are acting in their best interest.

Acre Homecare is a Domiciliary Care provider based in the Rochdale area that ensures quality care is supplied to our Clients so they are left feeling safe, secure and supported in their own homes. We achieve this by ensuring all our Carers match the high expectations we have set for ourselves through a rigorous selection process, and by consulting with our Clients on a personal level before we beg

in delivering Care. Acre Homecare was founded in 2022 by Gill Nelson and James Guy. James and Gill have known each other and have previously worked together on and off for 15 years in the Rochdale area. Following the pandemic, we identified a need for local services delivered by a Rochdale organisation. Our experiences through one of social care’s most difficult periods showed us that local communities are best serviced by organisations with local experience, staff and skills.

Happy Father's Day πŸ’™

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have shared their love, wisdom, strength, and support throughout the years.

From teaching life's important lessons to creating cherished family memories, fathers play a special role in shaping the lives of those around them.

Father's Day is an opportunity to say thank you, spend time together, and recognise the lasting impact fathers have on their families and communities.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Father's Day filled with love, appreciation, and special moments with those who matter most.

Care Designed Around You

At Acre Homecare, we believe that great care starts with understanding the individual.

Person-centred care means putting people at the heart of every decision, respecting their choices, preferences, goals, and independence. No two people are the same, which is why we tailor our support to meet each person's unique needs and circumstances.

By listening, understanding, and working together, we help people live the life they choose while receiving the care and support that's right for them.

Because care should always be as individual as the person receiving it.

Sometimes, the most valuable support is simply having someone there.

At Acre Homecare, our Companionship Care service is designed to help individuals stay connected, engaged, and supported in their daily lives. Whether it's sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, looking through treasured memories, enjoying a day out, or simply spending time together, companionship can make a real difference to wellbeing.

We believe that care is about more than practical supportβ€”it's about building meaningful relationships, promoting independence, and helping people enjoy the moments that matter most.

Today, we celebrate World Environment Day and the importance of protecting the world around us for future generations.

Small actions can make a big difference – whether it's reducing waste, recycling, conserving energy, or spending more time enjoying nature. Creating healthier, greener communities benefits everyone and helps improve wellbeing at every stage of life.

At Acre Homecare, we believe that supporting people also means caring for the environments and communities they call home.

Together, we can help create a cleaner, healthier future for all. πŸ’š

June is Cataract Awareness Month

Cataracts are one of the most common causes of vision loss, particularly as we get older. Early recognition and regular eye examinations can help identify changes in vision and ensure appropriate support is available when needed.

At Acre Homecare, we understand how changes in eyesight can impact daily life, confidence, and independence. Our dedicated team is here to provide compassionate support, helping individuals remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.

If you or a loved one have noticed changes in vision, consider speaking with an eye care professional for advice and guidance.
