🌿 Nature, creativity and decision-making 🌿

During this week’s Nature Connection session, our young people explored how the decisions we make can shape the direction we take.

Using art they created their own decision trees looking at the roots that influence our choices, the different paths available to us and the possible outcomes that can grow from each decision.

We explored how emotions, past experiences, other people’s opinions and fear of judgement can influence our choices, and how taking a moment to pause can help us consider:

What do I know?
What are my options?
What could happen next?
Which choice feels right for me?

A creative and engaging way to combine nature connection with psychoeducation and give young people practical tools they can use in everyday life.

A huge thank you to Action Together and the Live Well Fund for making these fully funded sessions possible. 💚

🌿 This week on our Nature Connections Programme, our young people explored gratitude and how our experiences help shape the beliefs and values held within the subconscious mind.

Through practical psychoeducation, we talked about how repeated thoughts can influence the way we see ourselves, other people and the world around us.

The group then headed into nature to gather flowers and weeds representing their current thoughts. They placed them onto their own “mind garden,” creating a powerful visual reminder that we can become more aware of the thoughts we nurture and begin making space to release those that no longer help us grow.

"Your mind is your garden,
your thoughts become seeds.
Feed what helps you flourish,
make space by pulling weeds.
What you water grows,
so choose what you need."

A creative session combining nature, self-reflection and learning in a way that young people can see, feel and remember. 🌱

Our Nature Connections Programme is fully funded thanks to Action Together and the Live Well Fund. If you have a young person that is interested in joining in, contact: [email protected]

Our weekly Nature Connections sessions run from Littleborough Fire Station, giving teens the opportunity to step outdoors, slow down and reconnect with themselves.

Through practical psychoeducation, grounding activities and time in nature, we help young people build confidence, understand their emotions and develop skills they can carry into everyday life.

🌿 This summer is all about connection, confidence and creating spaces where young people and families can thrive.💚

We're so excited to launch our summer programme, offering workshops designed to help young people and families better understand themselves, strengthen relationships and develop practical tools for everyday life.

A huge thank you to Action Together and the Live Well Fund for funding our Family Connections Workshops and Nature Connections Sessions. Your support means local families can access these sessions free of charge, and we're incredibly grateful. 🙏🤍

Alongside these, we'll also be running our Teen Reset Days at our beautiful farm in the Ribble Valley, a unique opportunity for young people of rochdale to step away from everyday pressures, reconnect with nature, learn practical life skills, care for animals and build confidence in a calm, supportive environment.

This is just the beginning. We aim to offer many more Teen Reset Days for young people and families across Rochdale, and we'd love to hear from local businesses, organisations or community supporters who would like to help make that possible. 💛

Whether it's sponsoring a reset day, helping us work towards a minibus, donating waterproofs or wellies, or simply supporting our mission in another way, every contribution helps us give more young people the opportunity to reset, reconnect and thrive.

✨ Spaces are now limited across our summer workshops. If you'd like to find out more or book a place, we'd love to hear from you.

Just imagine if your teenager actually understood:

🧠 Why they feel overwhelmed
🧘‍♀️ How stress affects their mind & body
😊 How to regulate emotions in healthier ways
💬 How to communicate better
⭐️ How to build genuine confidence from within

So many young people are struggling silently with anxiety, pressure, low confidence and emotional overwhelm, yet most are never actually taught the tools to understand themselves or cope with life in a healthy way.

That’s exactly why we created the Just Imagine Community Connections Project.

This unique wellbeing programme helps young people aged 11-16 develop:

❤️ Emotional resilience
💪 Confidence & self-belief
💬 Communication skills
🧘‍♀️ Self-awareness
🌱 Nervous system regulation tools
⭐️ Healthier coping strategies
🧠 Stronger understanding of themselves and others

Through laid back interactive workshops, practical activities and nature-based learning, young people will explore how their thoughts, emotions, body and environment all work together, giving them real-life tools they can continue using long after the programme ends.

💙 Weekly sessions running throughout the year in 6-week cohorts
💙 Starting in Littleborough before moving across locations throughout the Pennines
💙 Small supportive groups

⭐️ Referrals now open ⭐️

Suitable for young people struggling with
• Anxiety
• Low confidence
• Emotional overwhelm
• Social difficulties
• Feeling disconnected or “stuck”

This is not a crisis service or clinical therapy.
It is early intervention support designed to help young people feel more confident, understood and equipped for life.
