Scientific history is a series of bloody battles between ignorance and understanding.
Before the microscope, disease was blamed on demons.
Then we discovered the human body is composed of trillions of living cells requiring sunlight, movement, hydration, nutrients, and recovery to function properly.
Before modern neuroscience, behavior was framed as character.
Children trapped in environments that most intelligent adults would find intolerable were labeled “disordered.” Nothing a prescription stimulant couldn’t fix💊
We now understand that behavior emerges from biology interacting with environment.
Sleep deprivation changes behavior. Nutrient deficiencies change behavior. Isolation changes behavior. Sedentary living changes behavior. Dopamine dysregulation changes behavior.
The most compliant child in the world will eventually break down inside a body whose needs are being chronically ignored.
Because the human organism is more complex than any machine we’ve ever engineered.
Diagnosing a sleep deprived, sedentary, nutrient deficient, overstimulated child with a “mental disorder” without first understanding physiology is not progressive medicine.
It’s medical malpractice.
It’s like labeling a car defective while ignoring the oil, engine, fuel system, and maintenance schedule entirely.
A good business strategy if you're a used car salesman...
If you work with human beings, you should understand how human beings work.
Parents across the world write us daily searching for practitioners who understand physiology because they still believe in the potential of their children.
And they are searching for models built in the current century.
Place a 20th century lens on 21st century kids and everyone looks broken.
View children through the lens of modern physiology and you see unlimited potential.
We are training the next generation of physiology-first practitioners to help young people unlock it.
Next cohort begins July 18th. DM to RSVP and join the future of health.
