🌿 BURNOUT: WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT 🌿
Sometimes burnout isn’t lying in bed. It’s keeping everyone going while quietly falling apart.
For parents and carers, burnout is particularly hard because life doesn't stop.
It can look like:
💭 Overwhelm by simple tasks
😴 Exhaustion even after sleep
😠 Increased irritability or tears
🧠 Difficulty concentrating
🔊 Sensory overload
❤️ Nothing left to give
🚪 Wanting to withdraw
😔 Guilt that you should be coping
🌱 HOW TO TRY AVOID IT?
There’s no magic formula, but small things help:
✨ Notice warning signs.
✨ Build recovery time before you crash.
✨ Lower demands. Things can wait.
✨ Protect your sensory needs. Find quiet and comfort.
✨ Ask for help before your breaking point.
✨ Let go of guilt. Resting isn’t lazy.
🌿 IF BURNOUT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED?
Stop pushing. Your first job is to recover.
Cancel what you can. Eat, drink water, sleep. Put down the phone. Say no. Let someone help. Do something that feels regulating, not productive.
Most importantly: Stop measuring your worth by your productivity. ❤️
You are still a good parent, partner, and friend. You are still you, even when exhausted and the house is a mess.
