Trying for a baby? Understanding your menstrual cycle and when you ovulate can help you identify the days when you're most likely to become pregnant ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ’™

Ovulation usually happens around 10โ€“16 days before your next period starts. This is when an egg is released from the o***y and is available to be fertilised ๐Ÿฅš

Because s***m can survive in the body for several days, there is a "fertile window" during each cycle when pregnancy is more likely to occur ๐Ÿ“…

An ovulation calculator can help estimate when you may be ovulating based on the length of your menstrual cycle, making it a useful tool if you're trying to conceive ๐Ÿ‘

Remember that every person is different, and factors such as stress, illness and irregular periods can affect ovulation ๐Ÿ’ซ

If you've been trying to get pregnant and would like further advice, speak to your GP or healthcare professional ๐Ÿ’™

With the Bank Holiday approaching, it's important to know how to access NHS services if you need help over the long weekend. ๐Ÿ’™

Many GP practices will be closed on Bank Holiday days, but there are still a range of NHS services available if you need medical advice, treatment or urgent care. ๐Ÿฅ

โœ… Use NHS 111 online for medical advice and support
โœ… Call 111 if you need urgent medical help but it's not an emergency
โœ… Visit your local pharmacy for advice on common illnesses and minor injuries
โœ… Use NHS online services to manage prescriptions and access health information
โœ… Call 999 or attend A&E for life-threatening emergencies only

If you take regular medication, remember to order any repeat prescriptions in plenty of time before the Bank Holiday to avoid running out. ๐Ÿ’Š

Planning ahead can help you enjoy the long weekend and ensure you know where to turn if you need healthcare support. โ˜€๏ธ

Have you been invited for an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening? Itโ€™s important to attend ๐Ÿ’™

AAA screening is offered to men in England during the year they turn 65. The screening test looks for a swelling (aneurysm) in the aorta, the main blood vessel that carries blood from your heart to the rest of your body ๐Ÿฉบ

An abdominal aortic aneurysm often causes no symptoms, which means many people don't know they have one. If an aneurysm grows and bursts, it can be life-threatening, which is why early detection is so important โš ๏ธ

The screening itself is quick, painless and similar to an ultrasound scan. Most appointments take less than 10 minutes and can provide reassurance or help identify any problems early ๐Ÿ‘

You'll usually only need to be screened once, unless an aneurysm is found and requires monitoring ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ

If you've received an invitation, don't ignore it. Attending your appointment could save your life ๐Ÿ’™

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused yesterday evening when our automated medication collection point was temporarily out of order. The issue occurred because a patient left a sweet wrapper inside the collection point drawer after retrieving their medication.

Please note that this collection point is a highly sensitive piece of equipment and must never be used to dispose of litter. Even small pieces of rubbish can cause the entire system to fail, preventing other patients from accessing their vital prescriptions.

Once we were notified of the problem, our team resolved the issue promptly within 30 minutes to bring the machine back online. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep this service running smoothly for everyone.

Coils and implants are long-acting, reversible methods of contraception, offering reliable protection for 5 to 10 years, depending on the method, without having to remember something every day.

They can be removed when you choose, and your fertility returns after removal.

Want to know whether a coil or implant could be right for you? Speak to your GP or local sexual health service about your options.
