World Continence Week is a global health campaign running annually from June 15 to 21

To coincide with this, our continence nurses will be holding a lunchtime learning opportunity via MS Teams on Thursday 18 June from 1.30pm - 2.00pm

This will be information sharing event providing 1st level support with a questions and answers section.

The School Aged Immunisation Service will be visiting Telford Park School on Friday 5 June to administer the HPV vaccination to Year 8 students.

You should have received a letter from us via school.

If you have not consented and wish to, please pick up a paper copy from school reception and return to school for Friday morning.

Celebrating excellence in community health care: Children’s community nurse wins national award

A newly qualified community children’s nurse has scooped a prestigious national award which places her amongst the very best emerging nurses in her field in the country.

Fran Cedolin, a Community Children’s Nurse who works for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Community Hospitals NHS Group, has been awarded The Dame Elizabeth Fradd Memorial Prize for Outstanding Achievement as a Community Children’s Nurse Student.

This prestigious national award is presented annually in memory of Professor Dame Elizabeth Fradd DBE, a Fellow of the Queen's Institute of Community Nursing (QICN) and a hugely respected figure in children’s nursing. Dame Elizabeth trained as a children’s nurse and went on to serve in a wide range of roles including registered nurse, midwife and health visitor.

She later supported the nursing profession at a national level, becoming Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for England and Director of Nursing/Lead Director for reviews and inspections at the Commission for Health Improvement.
