It can sometimes feel like everything is important and that we need to tackle it all at once.

But that's a lot of work and a lot of pressure to put on yourself. Give yourself a break!

Try starting small and simple (smaller than you're thinking right now).

What's the thing you're overthinking?

We think that if we think more about something, get more information about it, we'll be more successful at whatever it is. But actually there comes a point when you're just procrastinating.

I've been doing this with my social media and so today I actually went to a training event. So rather than doing more research, getting more opinions or doing more thinking, I now have a plan of action. The overthinking has stopped and the things I'm thinking about have changed - progress! 😁

Sometimes it takes hearing it from someone else, for you to properly hear it.

I attended a coaching session tonight, where I was being coached, and I was asked to look at what a successful vs unsuccessful me would look like.

And it was a reminder that success isn't about fast cars, boats and mansions but actually sticking to what feels right to you.

The longer you leave it, the worse it gets.

The thing you haven't said becomes a big secret, and the feelings you've been pushing down start coming out at the wrong moments.

And the more this happens, the more alone you feel, and the harder it is to imagine saying any of it out loud.

Women who don't know what they enjoy any more.

Women who are so busy they don't know what to do when they do get "spare time".

Women who say things like "I have such a great life, I feel bad even saying this but..."

You may not know what's wrong. You just know something is.

I've been there, and it can feel like "not enough" to sort it out, but don't settle for living half a life.

I hate talking about boundaries. They're all very well in theory but in reality it feels like a massive personality change.

So when I started, I started small.

I didn't start with family, friends or colleagues, I started with the men I dated. A safe place where I could get it wrong, and not ruin any of the relationships that I hold dear.

And you know what, I found that speaking up felt completely different to how I expected. It was easier, I was happier, and the more I did it the less awkward it felt.

That confidence then leaked into other areas of my life. Not all at once, but over time.

You don't have to change everything. You just have to find somewhere to start.

As much as we want to change things in our lives, it can feel a little scary at times.

As humans we're afraid of the unknown, we like to know where things are going. But unfortunately, that's not possible.

We can't predict what is going to happen in the future, but we can take that first step forward, and know that after that first step we can take the second.

Somewhere along the way wanting something for yourself had been turned into a bad thing.

You can't do something for you without someone commenting on it.

And because of this, you just quietly stop.

But doing something for you is a good thing for everyone.

These dreaded words!

Not because what they say next is silly, but because they've already decided in advance that their feelings need a disclaimer.

That they're only allowed to feel a certain way if they can justify it first.

You don't have to earn the right to feel how you feel.
