And what a summer full of happiness it was 🙌🏻

My children’s nature circles are coming back this October Half Term too! 🍂

I absolutely loved introducing circle and folklore to so many children this summer, and I’m so thrilled to be running another one with on October 28th in Old Town Gardens.

Another exploration of nature, trees and their magic, with craft, hot chocolate and lots more fun ✨

I haven’t put this event on Dandelion yet, and there are only 2 spaces remaining.

Rituals ✨

I always include a ritual in circle.

It’s a slow and intentional activity. Something that uses our hands and our creative energy and is also a bit of fun. Or, as everyone seems to be calling it these days…whimsy!

One of the ways I keep it whimsical is by regularly using herbs, plants and waters that I’ve collected myself.

Connecting with the world around us is one of my core beliefs, and I love bringing a little of that into our circles. 🌿

For this ritual, we made our own incense blend, with each herb chosen for its historical and spiritual significance.

Aries Full Moon 🌕

With themes of preparation, boundaries and putting ourselves and our needs first, it’s no surprise this circle felt particularly powerful.

Sitting down to reflect on my own life, I had a few realisations of my own.

We all already know the answers to our own problems. Sometimes, we just need the time and space to actually listen to them. 🤍

Autumnal Altar 🍂

I’ve had these dried petals saved for a whole year, using them throughout the darker months of last winter. So getting them out again for my one year anniversary altar felt incredibly special. 🤎

And it also validated my obsession with keeping boxes of things.

I’ve now progressed into an adult toddler who wants to keep every shiny stone. 😂

With two actual children in the house, our home is full of lots (probably too many) natural treasures.

I really wanted to get this altar right, so this was one I practised at home first.

I wanted to find the right balance of elements to reflect the balance of light and dark at the Autumn Equinox.

And I think I got there. 🍂🌞🌙

What a beautiful weekend, and such a blessing to watch so much love being poured into one incredible woman. 🤍

One of my favourite parts was watching the women in the room support the bride as she expressed some of her fears going into marriage. And how powerful it felt to then go outside and burn those worries together. To release them to the wind and leave them behind.

In her own words, “this circle has been so healing.”

The other part, which I found it hard not to get emotional for, was listening to each woman take it in turns to share exactly what the bride meant to them, and how she had impacted their lives.

It was so beautiful to witness.

For this weekend, the Bridal Blessing was held on the last morning of a fun-packed weekend (there were many empty bottles of Prosecco in the recycling 😂), but there are so many ways it could be woven into a celebration.

And finally, Natalie, you are a beautiful soul and deserve it all. I wish you a life full of love and happiness. Thank you for allowing me to hold this blessing for you. 🤍

With Mabon came the 1st anniversary of Root & Rising. 🍂

I had no idea how much running this business would change me - and all for the better.

I’m endlessly grateful that I get to hold space for so many of you.

My dream of being a positive ripple in our community is now a reality. I’m watching it unfold and grow into something far bigger than I ever could have expected.

I’m not perfect, and I never will be. And I’m not expecting myself to be.

I’m a real woman, living a messy life, figuring things out as I go - but stepping more and more into what I feel I was always meant to do.

To hold space for you.
To see you.
To listen to you.
To help you slow down.
To bring a little of the magic of the seasons and nature into our everyday lives.

One year of Root & Rising. And somehow, it feels like I’m only just getting started. 🌿

This is your invitation to spend four hours doing absolutely nothing productive. 🍂🔥

Two hours in circle; meditation, reflection, sharing and a little seasonal ritual.

Then the wholesome bit…

Sauna. Fire pit. Herbal treats for our bodies. Plus obviously we have to have marshmallows...

Plenty of time to wander between the two areas, warm up, cool down, chat, laugh and just be.

A little witchy, a little wild and very much about coming back to yourself. 🌙

We’ve already filled 7 of the 11 spaces through pre-orders, the final 4 spaces remain.

Our Circle & Herbal Sauna is coming back ✨

After such an incredible Beltane event back in April, we’re bringing it back for Samhain this November. 🍂🔥

Samhain marks the final harvest and the beginning of winter. It’s a time for looking back, giving thanks, and letting go of what we no longer need to carry.

So that’s exactly what we’ll explore together.

We’ll spend the first two hours in circle, reflecting on what we’re grateful for, what we’ve grown through this year, and what we’re ready to release.

We’ll use seasonal herbs, salt and a little ritual to explore protection too - but not from ghosts and ghouls. 😂 From mental clutter, habits that no longer serve us and the boundaries we might need to strengthen.

Samhain is also traditionally a time for connecting with the wisdom of those who came before us, so there’ll be a little Halloween-inspired reflection woven in too. 🎃

Then it’s time to swap the circle for the sauna and fire pit, with herbal treats for our bodies, mindful breathing and, of course, marshmallows. 🔥

Four hours of slowing down, reflecting, warming up and having a bit of fun as we move into winter.

Only 4 spaces remain 🫶🏻

We gathered on Sunday to reflect on what balance looks like in our own lives, look back at how we’ve grown through the summer, and think about how we can prepare our bodies and minds for the winter ahead.

A lovely way to mark the turning of the season. 🤎
