Bank holidays are a great chance to slow down, spend time with people you care about and do a few gentle things that help you feel good. 💛

That might be heading outside for some fresh air, enjoying healthy meals together, getting a little more movement into the day, or simply taking time to rest and reset. 😌

It doesn’t have to be perfect – small, feel good choices all add up. Whether you’re planning a family day out, a relaxing day in, or a mix of both, being kind to yourself is what really matters 💛

It's World Hypertension Day on Sunday - so, let's talk about how diet and exercise can make a world of difference to your blood pressure 🌎

If you don't know, hypertension is high blood pressure than can lead to serious health problems like heart attacks or strokes.

Eating lots of salty, saturated fats foods and minimal movement can lead to hypertension.🧂

But there's good news! 🎉 Small changes can make a HUGE difference to you overall health.🫶

Having a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, and low in salt and saturated fats can really help. Plus, if you get moving more this can help lower your blood pressure too. 🚶‍♀️

It's National Walking Month, which is a great opportunity for you to discover the wonders of walking. 🚶‍♂️

Walking more doesn't have to mean long rambles in the countryside. While this can be a lovely option, you might not have the time depending on your location and schedule!

So, this National Walking Month, we encourage you to try walking more in a way that works for YOU.

You can try:
🚌Getting off the bus a stop earlier
🛍️Walking to the corner shop a few streets away, instead of the closer one
☕ Meeting a friend for a coffee and grab it to go - catch-up and get your steps up!

The main thing is finding ways of moving more in your day that's realistic for you.

The programme lasts for 12‑weeks and has been designed to help people make small changes that make a BIG difference. 🚶
