Please bring me storms tomorrow πŸ™β›ˆοΈ

Good evening everyone, who is ready for some lively weather to track?

The Metoffice currently have warnings in force for thunderstorms, tomorrow and Thursday. Some of these storms will be rather lively with frequent lightning and the risk of localised flash flooding.

So there is the risk of disruption during the heaviest storms!

Tonight we see some residue storms over N France moving across the Channel. This activity will mostly die out but there is the risk of some lightning across southern/south-eastern Channel coasts later tonight and through the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The main risk tomorrow morning comes through the later early hours across parts of Essex, Kent, East Anglia, Cambs and areas in and around there.

We then see the risk extend further north and west as we go throughout tomorrow with thunderstorms possible across parts of central England/Midlands, Wales, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, N Pennines and north-west England, before the risk heads into N England later in the day.

Tomorrow night and through the early hours of Thursday morning we see another risk of some thunderstorms and a general area of intense downpours pushing across south-western parts of England, so again, potential there for a show if it doesn't fizzle out. Uncertainty remains on this.

Then throughout Thursday morning we see the risk of some big storms firing further east across southern parts of England, more so central southern areas with the risk then extending further north with some rather impressive thunderstorms possible. Possible MCS to keep an eye on tracking north.

As this batch clears north through Thursday we then see the risk of further cells/thunderstorms across parts of SW England, Wales, and other parts of England.

I'll be honest, it is going to be a right mess! Some areas will see nothing, whilst other areas will have some humdingers with lively lightning and torrential rain.

The main concern is that after such a prolonged period of dry summer weather, all of the rain will run off as it has nowhere to go, this causing the risk of flash flooding in places.

So lots to cover, keep an eye on, track, whatever you want to call it and I'm certainly going to be busy! Below are the useful links that you'll need to track everything.

This particular model updates 4 times daily.

Live lightning tracker: https://www.realweather.co.uk/live-lightning/

As always I'll keep monitoring the data and models as they update. Messy is the keyword but certainly some decent storms to be had in places over the coming days.

I'll be keeping things low key. The energies right now are insane. If I mark it at all it'll be with a quiet moment and maybe a oooh, when it gets dark!

Are you planning on watching this eve?
