Chlamydia is the most common STI in the UK, especially among young people.

Although most people don’t have any symptoms, chlamydia can cause pain or a burning feeling when you p*e. Women may experience an increase or change in vaginal discharge, pain in the lower tummy, pain during s*x or bleeding after s*x or between periods. In men it can cause discharge from the tip of their p***s and/ or pain or tenderness in the testicles.

It's quick and easy to get tested for chlamydia – there’s no need for you to come to a clinic as you can get a free test sent to your home 👉🔗 https://www.embracewolverhampton.nhs.uk/stis/getting-tested-stis

Myth: “I Can’t Get Pregnant If I’m on My Period”

‼️Fact ‼️ It’s a common misconception that you can’t get pregnant during your period. While it’s less likely, it’s still possible, especially for those with shorter cycles. S***m can survive in the body for up to five days, and if you ovulate soon after your period ends, there’s a risk of pregnancy.

Always use contraception if you want to prevent pregnancy, regardless of where you are in your cycle 👉🔗 https://www.embracewolverhampton.nhs.uk/contraception/types-contraception

It's Mental Health Awareness Week.

Your overall mental well-being can positively or negatively impact your s*xual health. Ultimately, your feelings, whether good or bad, play a significant role in intimacy, s*xual arousal and satisfaction.

If you're stressed, anxious, low or feel that your mental health is affecting your s*xual health, the best way to get help is to talk to a GP or someone at a s*xual health clinic.
