Nobody gave us a manual on to how we can bring safety to our nervous system so here I am sharing what my process was for emotional response going extra extra physical. How often I see people's bodies showing up with dysfunction due to suppressed emotions? I think a lot. I don't diagnose of course... we can only be guessing what had created the tension patterns. But my my belief is- suppressed emotions affect our posture way more than we realise ... Not always body is ready to work on them right away - we may through a bit of work o adaptations first to reach the space where your nervous system feels comfortable.. Never a force, always an invitation šŸ™

We Lithuanians know exactly what ražytis means.

In English, there is a word for it too: pandiculation.

I don’t think we should call it a ā€œmorning stretchā€ at all. It’s not simply lengthening something -it’s an instinctive contraction and release, a natural reorganisation of the musculoskeletal system.

Cats and dogs do it all day long. Somewhere along the way, many of us stop.

I think there’s a lot of goodness in pandiculation. It costs us nothing. We just have to give the body a safe enough space to do what it instinctively knows how to do.

So much of what our biology asks of us is incredibly simple.

Move. Rest. Eat. Sleep. Be outside. Be around other people. Touch. Play. Belong.

Watching hundreds of birds gathering together made me think about this.

They don’t need to be reminded to do what they are biologically designed to do.

We seem to be the species that became clever enough to build a world that can distract us from our own biology.

And I wonder if this disconnection reaches further than we realise.

Could it even be part of why we are wanting fewer children?

When life becomes so overstimulating, so complicated and so full, perhaps there is less space left for the things that have always been deeply human.

And somewhere in all that noise, have we started to lose our sense of how sacred life actually is?...

Lately time seems to be the greatest asset.

Between being a mother, Amatsu therapist, friend, daughter, aunty, and looking after a couple of social media accounts (excluding my own šŸ˜‚), it’s been a lot. I’ve really been missing having a village around.

The last while has also come plenty of challenges. One of the bigger ones has been coming to terms with the fact that my dream of becoming an Amatsu teacher, something I worked towards for years and really saw as part of my future, isn’t part of my life right now. I haven’t fully let go of that dream, but for now it feels very far away.

I’ve been thinking a lot about consciousness lately. It seems to be the main theme I keep coming back to - how much of life we actually notice, how much we experience on autopilot, and what changes when we become more aware of ourselves and the world around us.

For the second year now I’m blessed to live beside these beautiful fields, where I can just get out for a short walk, think, integrate, pick blackberries, smell every rose apparently šŸ˜‚ and spend some slow time with my boys.

Life has been abundant lately. In challenges too.
But there have been a lot of really good moments in between. I am listening more and talking less, fields of wheat moving in the wind have taught me something..
