TORG One-Year Global Research Fellowship - Cohort 2 (2026/2027) | Mentorship Track

The Operating Room Global (TORG) invites applications from qualified, experienced and highly committed professionals to serve as Fellowship Programme Secretary for its upcoming Global Research Fellowship.

We seek an organised, research-oriented professional with a relevant postgraduate qualification, demonstrated administrative or research coordination experience, excellent communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.

The successful applicant will support the Fellowship Directorate in programme coordination, academic activities, communication, progress monitoring and administrative reporting.

On 28 July 2026, as a powerful 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, medical professionals at Kumamoto General Hospital in Yatsushiro were performing surgery.

As the operating theatre shook violently, members of the surgical team instinctively shielded their patient, putting patient safety first despite the danger around them.

All four operations underway were reportedly completed successfully.

An extraordinary demonstration of courage, teamwork, professionalism and commitment to patient care.
