Hepatitis D is rare, but it can be one of the most serious forms of viral hepatitis.
Unlike other types, Hepatitis D can only affect people who are already infected with Hepatitis B. It spreads through infected blood and body fluids and can significantly increase the risk of severe liver disease.
The good news is getting vaccinated against Hepatitis B is the most effective way to prevent Hepatitis D. Prevention, awareness, and timely diagnosis remain key to protecting liver health.
