Dipti Gandhi founded Muskan Foundation in 2007 with Mrs. Chhaya Shah, Mr. Sanjay Gandhi, and Mrs. Meenakshi Shivram as trustees. Muskan started with two teachers and four studen
ts and now has a team of 21 teachers, 8 therapists, 4 admin staff and more than 80 students. Muskan works with these children and helps them to learn and develop basic skills to live an independent life. Muskan Foundation provides affordable quality services to children with Multiple Disabilities with Vision Impairment. The key services offered are Special Education, Early Intervention and Therapy
The Education Intervention is conducted through the H G Hanmante School which offers Individualized Educational Programme (IEP) which includes customized curriculum and 1:1 student-teacher ratio, in severe cases and 1:3 student-teacher ratio, in general. The Early Intervention Centre has proved to play an integral role in building of sensory skills of children suffering from varied multiple disabilities. It offers a platform for mothers and toddlers (1-5 years). The therapies offered as part of the J V Gandhi Therapy Centre include Vision Rehabilitation, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, Art based therapy & Physio therapy, to have a one stop holistic intervention.
