Everyone talks about hustle.
But very few talk about what chronic sleep deprivation quietly does to the body and mind.
As a doctor, I see people normalising late nights, all-nighters, 4 AM wake-ups, and surviving on 3–4 hours of sleep — as if exhaustion is a sign of dedication.
It isn’t.
Sleep is not laziness. It is biological recovery.
Poor sleep affects:
• Concentration & memory
• Mood & emotional stability
• Hormonal balance
• Immunity & metabolism
• Heart health & blood sugar regulation
• Productivity and long-term wellbeing
The Irony is painful: People sacrifice sleep to get ahead…and later spend years trying to recover their health, energy, and mental clarity..
As doctors, our job is not only to treat disease —
but also to remind people that health is built through daily habits.
Even doctors themselves are sleep deprived majority of the times ! You may cure when you are at your "Apparently healthy" state !
So, How many hours did you sleep last night?
