Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC), through its Department of Emergency Medicine, had successfully conducted the First Aid Aquatic Life Support (AqLS) Workshop for the dedicated members of the Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Team (PEMAT) on 27 July 2026.

Hats off to Prof. Dr. Shaikh Farid Abdull Wahab, Founder of Aquatic Life Support (AqLS) Malaysia, the faculty and residents of the CRMC Department of Emergency Medicine, and the Department of Surgery for the commitment in education and training of the management and coordinated response during of aquatic medical emergencies.

This is a new frontier for AqLS and hopefully to have many more collaboration in future.

As we conclude this year’s Annual Aquatic Life Support ( ) Course, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to all participants, instructors and the organizing committee for making AqLS 2026 a success.

The course may ended but our mission continues. We encourage all participants to be ambassadors for water safety by sharing what you’ve learned and inspiring others to take part in future AqLS courses.

🌊 AqLS 2026 | Annual Aquatic Life Support Course | Days 1–3 Highlights 💙

Our annual Aquatic Life Support ( ) is well underway! Over the past three days, participants have been immersed in both theory and hands-on training designed to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and confidence in aquatic emergency care and water rescue.

Throughout the course , participants have explored:
🚑Aquatic emergency care
🏊Water safety and drowning prevention
🛟Water rescue and survival techniques
🚤Practical rescue scenarios and teamwork🤝

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported and participated in AqLS 2026 so far. Your dedication inspires us to continue promoting water safety and drowning prevention.

Busy booth, great crowd, meaningful awareness ❤️🚑

Today at KEDAH Emergency Medicine Day 2026, our booth focused on raising awareness about water safety and drowning prevention.

Many drowning incidents happen quietly without shouting or splashing, especially among children. Through our educational booth, we shared:

✅ Water safety awareness
✅ Importance of close supervision
✅ Emergency response and prevention tips
✅ Public education on jellyfish stings & water-related emergencies

We are proud to continue spreading awareness and strengthening community preparedness through Aquatic Life Support Event ❤️
